Tell us about this design.
I have been wanting to draw a design like this for a while. I love robots of all kinds, and this project was an opportunity to practice my lettering and banner work. It was pitched to my wonderful fans on facebook (http://www.facebook.com/sumrow) and well received. My fans are great, and we collaborated on it until we were happy. We all hope you guys are seeing our collaboration roll and lovin' it.
Where are you from?
"Smithers, there's a New Mexico?" - Montgomery Burns
How would you describe your style?
Frank Frazetta, Virgil Finlay, and Jesper Ejsing are a few of my favorite artists. So I'm sure they have rubbed off on me and creeped into my style. Look them up, if you haven't already. They don't disappoint! On top of that, I'm a sucker for all things pulp, and old school horror comics. My weapons of choice when I work are ink, paper, and Pentel Pocket brush pens.
If you could collaborate with anyone else, who would you pick?
I am actually collaborating with another Teefury artist as we speak. The theme will be Star Wars, and I'll give a hint to the co-conspirator... he is cold as ice. ;)
If you weren't designing shirts, what would you be doing?
Walking with my best friend, Sarge. He's my blue healer/corgi. Luvs him. He warms my feet while I draw. I'll be home in a few hours, Sarge! Stop watchin' cat videos on the darn interwebs!
Would you rather cook the world's largest pizza or eat it?
Homer Simpson vs. zombie doughnut: which would win the battle?
Homer could easily eat a small posse of Undead Doughnuts. But, in the end, I think a few hundred would overtake him. He does not believe in the number one zombie rule: Cardio
What is your favorite t-shirt color?
What will be your next travel experience?
Camping. Some camping needs to happen in my near future.
Any shout outs?
Huge Thank You to Jimiyo and MJ for giving my art the nod. This is my fifth Teefury print, and I am very grateful to them. Shout outs to Karen Hallion, Megan Laura, Ian Leino, and Winter Artwork for their help, support, jokes and more. And one final wink wink to my #CAFFEINEcru on twitter.
