About the artist
Tell us a bit about this design.
"Super Meat Fighter" and its sequels, "Super Meat Fighter II: Mega Turbo Combo with Fries" and "SMF III: 3rd Refill" are really awesome games that everyone should play. We love the series and it was SO cool to be able to work on this project -- we just wish they'd release a 4-player tag team version sometime soon!
What made you decide to collaborate on this design?
It actually started out as a bit of a joke: we were doing a collaboration for charity and were limited to a certain color palette. Crystal remarked that it was like the palette used in fast food company designs (probably to invoke the mustard, ketchup, mayo, bread motif) and Tim was like, "dude..." The rest is history!
Who contributed which parts of this design?
Crystal on "B.King", color corrections, and edits.
Tim on "Ron" and the background.
If you could have any superpower, which would you choose?
Tim: Does the Force count?
Crystal: The Power of Greyskull!
If it came down to a superhero fight, which of you would win?
Tim: Probably Bam, she has a pretty strong Spinning Bird Kick.
Crystal: Dude... I would totally win! I mean I would probably have a giant green Tiger yo!
Share a favorite thing about your collaborator.
Tim: When it comes to sheer originality and style, I don't think she can be beat! Take a blind shirt-test and "name that creator," and you can always tell her work from the rest (I will love Lion-O's forever). She's definitely earned her reputation!
Crystal: Tim is crazy fast...Like... I mean CRRAAZZZYYY fast! O_O And he always manages to make some high quality art! And his ideas are always on point! He's also very attentive to detail! :D He's funny as hell too! :)
Share a made-up lie about your collaborator.
Tim: We took this trip to Buckner's cabin awhile back and she picked the seashell. Merman... seriously, Crystal? I told you to choose the unicorn painting, but nooooo, you wanted to be reminded of Florida instead. No taste!
Crystal: Tim has a small lil Shrine in the back of his Closet dedicated to Tony Danza. He prays to it every night while listening to the theme of Who's the Boss. Also... I think he secretly wishes he was a Transformer. ;)
Any shout outs?
Tim: Paul and TJ, thanks for a great year... my Facebook fans for being such a huge support, and my audiology colleagues and coworkers for keeping things real. :)
Crystal: I wanna thank Jimiyo and MJ of Teefury for picking our collabo and for helping artist out in anyway that they can! I also wanna thank the RBC, RBA, RxBA and my awesome Facebook Fans! Also... my best friends Pertheseus, Chaser, Shamara and my lil pug Naboo! ^_^ <3
Oh and Tim for collaborating with me! DUH! lol
