About the artist
A pose after having famously snatched a snitch...in the style of he-who-I-won't-name. (Being a fan of both, these things just romantically found each other in my mind one day...)
Where are you from?
A small coastal town in Maine (not Cabot Cove, but Stephen King's movie "Thinner" was filmed nearby...).
How did you get started designing t-shirts?
I had been sharing my work (mostly paintings and drawings) online through several sites for a few years when a friend on facebook made me aware of crowd-sourcing shirt companies (around 2009), so I started submitting. That was that!
What advice would you offer to aspiring designers?
The advice I was given at a young age from another artist: never let anyone change your style. From my own experience, study and absorb all the art/design you can find, create as much as you can and share it, and don't take yourself too seriously/have fun!
What would be your dream job?
I think I'm doing it...
What is your favorite thing about reality TV?
Picking apart the unreality.
What would your ideal house be like?
Always wanted to live in the "Clue" mansion (minus any murders).
One that values heart, courage, chivalry, and "kitten T-shirt" fridays.
Werewolves vs. dragons: which would win the battle?
Werewolves would be toast! (Is this fight even fair? Am I missing something?)
What was your favorite as a kid: comics, cartoons, or movies? Was there a specific title you liked most of all?
All three were pretty big staples...movies probably affected me the most, though. While some might say "The Apple Dumpling Gang" was my favorite—based on the number of times I watched it—the movies I am most nostalgic about are "The Neverending Story" and "Return To Oz" (very underrated).
What are a few of your favorite websites?
The Daily What/I Can Has Cheezburger?, YouTube, Popped Culture.
Any shout outs?
To Elijah and Grayson: fruit salad, yummy yummy!
