Tell us about this design.
The character was inspired by George Lucas’ dog, so it didn’t take a rocket scientist to work out how he came up with the name- Chew + Barker.
What has been your most adventurous moment?
Cable jumping off Auckland’s Sky Tower (328 metres) in New Zealand...twice.
What has been the most valuable advice you've been given?
Natural talent only gets you so far. Passion and hard work take it from there.
What is your favorite thing about pets?
No backchat (that’s why I’ll never own a parrot)
Time travel vs. space travel: which would win the battle?
Both two very tempting pursuits but I’d choose space travel. It’s frustrating to know that I’ll never experience it in my lifetime (and I mean real space exploration, not paying $200,000 to briefly visit the upper atmosphere.)
Describe the strangest shirt you own.
I don’t own it anymore but I used to have a tee with Oxo on it, which is a brand of gravy. And of course it had a hotrod on it...because y’know, gravy and hotrods are an obvious match.
What would be your dream project to work on?
Designing a hotrod that runs on gravy.
