About the artistArt curated by Where are you from?
I live in Macclesfield in the UK.
How did you get started designing t-shirts?
I started when I saw a Portal t-shirt online by R-evolution GFX, I soon realised that I could upload my own work to a certain site. I had a print on a 24hr site shortly afterwards which spurred me on.
What advice would you offer to aspiring designers?
If you don't have much experience in design already, try to teach yourself something new with each piece that you do. You'll soon see your work improve. Also, seek feedback from other artists, and learn techneques and styles other people are using.
What would be your dream job?
I really enjoy designing t-shirts, I can draw what I want. But I'd also like to be able to work and collaborate with other people with similar interests in a real environment.
What is your favorite thing about gaming?
It's always been a love. I'm a big fan of films too, so i think it is generally the narrative experience. I prefer single player games to multiplayer.
What would your ideal house be like?
I'd just want it to have an old fashioned theatre style entertainment room, red velvet chairs, gold moldings and curtains in front of the screen that squeak when drawn back.
XBox 360 vs. Wii: which would win the battle?
I'm a fan of the Xbox 360 this generation, but I have very fond memories of the Nintendo consoles of yesteryear.
What was your favorite as a kid: comics, cartoons, or movies? Was there a specific title you liked most of all?
Movies would win. I think Labyrinth holds a special place in the hearts of most people of my age. Though Teenage Mutant Hero Turtle was also a big deal when I was young. I don't really remember reading comics until I was about 13, the first thing I got into was X-men, mainly because of the cartoon on TV.
What are a few of your favorite websites?
I hang around on Tumblr quite alot, it's probably my main source for finding inspiration for designs. I like to have a look at the animation on Vimeo every now and then. I also really like alot of the shows on Revision3 especially The Totally Rad Show.
Any shout outs?
All my followers on Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter and Redbubble and anyone who has bought or printed my work in the past. Thanks for the support everyone.
