So, this friend of mine,
Megan Lara, you might have heard of her? She has been pushing me to
watch a certain Doctor. I finally got around to it, and LOVED Amy. I
thought she would make a perfect Mucha girl. I modeled this design after
his illustration "Topaz"
Where are you from?
Swampscott, Masschusetts.
What has been your most adventurous moment?
I taught elementary school art for six years. Every day was an adventure.
What has been the most valuable advice you've been given?
"Hey, you should watch Firefly, it's a great show...."
If you had a theme song, what would it be?
I
love the Community theme song. Has really nothing to do with me, but I
love it, it makes me happy. So I choose you, Community theme song, to be
my theme song.
What is your favorite thing about designing shirts?
Seeing
someone wearing one of my designs! It's happened a few times, I have
come across someone wearing my shirt, and it's pretty great.
Disney vs. Marvel: which would win the battle?
Doesn't Disney own Marvel? I guess they won, unless Marvel is planning a Trojan Horse move.....
Describe the strangest shirt you own.
My son designed me a shirt when he was 3. I love it, but it is a little strange.
What would be your dream project to work on?
Hmm.
Maybe doing a book of pop culture nouveau? Maybe putting together a
collection, with some other artists? Or, working on pretty much anything
at Pixar, really. I hear they have a cereal bar in their studios.
