I've always loved that iconic suntan lotion ad (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coppertone_girl), and thought it all fit perfectly with those guys and their relationship in the starring roles - mischievous and uptight/upset. And you can never have enough SPF under those twin suns! Plus, if android bum is wrong then I don't want to be right.

That I am so elderly that I saw Star Wars in the theater, first run (I was 4, but still!). 

Pinball, donuts, 80's teen movies, the smell of band-aids, Elvis movies, brown paper packages tied up with strings.

My buddy Derek and I divided our free time in Jr High fairly evenly between pretending we were in Dokken and working on our line of trading cards called 'Chop Shop Kids'. They were like Garbage Pail Kids (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garbage_Pail_Kids), but gorier, far less clever, and poorly drawn. A representative sample would be "He's Looking at You, Kid" which was a pair of eyeballs in a pool of blood. What can I say? We knew what we liked.

Funny: When I was Googling for a good Garbage Pail Kids link a minute ago I found this one (http://i39.tinypic.com/2csiaom.jpg). Right?

"Oh, my precious child," he said. "The times when you look back and see only one set of footprints, that was when I was at the snack bar, getting a Slush Puppy and some hot, salty fries."

Oh, jeez. Trek vs Wars, eh? Well, let's take it logically. A handheld phaser, wielded by an anonymous redshirt, vs a Jedi Knight with a lightsaber? Jedi wins, no question. But, put that same Jedi up against, say, an Intrepid Class Federation Starship, with a full phaser compliment? Please. 

You know, I probably should have answered the "what don't you want people to know about you?" question with my true secret shame: I love Star Trek:Voyager. It is my favorite Trek. Seriously. I love it. Can't get enough.

Oh, and, obligatorily: hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.

I don't own it anymore, but I used to have a Happy Cat (http://www.flickr.com/photos/jasonliebigstuff/4653055348/) brand cat food shirt, that had the Happy Cat cat on it, and big letters that said "You Gotta Squeeze Me To Believe Me". Man, that was a great shirt.

Better? Reading, probably, but all three have their strengths, I'll give a title for each. Gaming: right now I am playing Bride of Pinbot on Pinball Arcade on the iPad, and it is terrific. Reading: I recently re-read Anathem, by Neal Stephenson and I really can't recommend it highly enough. Movies: I'll go with Tuff Turf, a lesser 80's teen movie classic. Basically, It's James Spader starring in a loose Rebel Without a Cause remake, in the 80s, with Robert Downey Jr and Kim Richards in the Sal Mineo and Natlie Wood roles, and lots of appalling music. It's extremely entertaining, and available on Netflix instant view right now. Skip work today to watch it. Tell the boss I said it was OK.
