Tell us a bit about this design.
The design came about during a lengthy discussion with my roommate about the Rangers while watching some Super Sentai. We both grew up loving the show, what kid didn't, so we wanted to make a shirt about that. We eventually settled on the "morphine time" idea and the shirt just kinda happened from there. The thought of Jason saying that line all weak instead of the really intense "Morphin Time!" line he usually screams just killed us.
Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Oklahoma, but have just recently moved to Van Nuys, California.
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
I am really terrible at grammar so I apologize for any mistakes.
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
Nice try TeeFury, nice try.
Name a few of your favorite things.
My favorite thing is pizza! I also like nerd things and hooligan activities.
What kind of art did you make as a kid?
Lots and lots of monsters and dragons, I also always liked making comics and creating characters. My imagination gets the best of my brain and drawing helps me focus so I drew all the time as a kid. Teachers were always getting on to me for doodling in class.
What is your favorite thing about action scenes?
I love it in movies when action is done in one shot! Like did you ever see that crazy Tony Jaa movie Ong-Bak where he fights people going up the stairs in one shot, it's bananas! Hanna also had a great one shot with Eric Bana. In comics I am always impressed when the action is fluid and doesn't seem forced, Tsutomu Nihei does a great job with that, its fast paced but easy to follow.
Superheroes vs. supervillains: which would win the battle?
I was a strange kid and always thought supervillains looked cooler so as a kid I always rooted for them. They rarely won the battle but were a lot of fun to draw so I usually chose those guys. I mean come on how can you pick Luke Skywalker over Darth Vader?
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
Just bought a rad Spaceman Spiff shirt from you guys, I am liking that one a lot right now.
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
Movies are my favorite but narrowing it down to a favorite will be hard. One I really like that nobody gave a shot was Speed Racer, it had all the fun of the old anime but also had a great story.
What inspires your work?
Other peoples work, music, life, you name it! Oh and getting away from the computer really helps when you've hit a wall. I google a lot of stuff for references and ideas but usually my best ideas and inspiration come from just me doodling in a sketch pad.
