Tell us about this design.
Skull and crossbones, iconic for centuries. But let's pixelate the famous symbol, give it a video game flair. But let's not stop there. Oh no, let's show the world that those pixels are really tetris blocks.
Where are you from?
Somewhere, out there. Beneath the pale moonlight.
How would you describe your style?
In general? My normal style, as in the style that comes from me purely, is rather cartoony. I'd say my style is children's book friendly. Which makes sense, I've illustrated a handful of them when I was younger, and I would like to go back and make some more.
If you could collaborate with anyone else, who would you pick?
I've collaborated with Gunday Monday (http://www.gundaymonday.com) and co-produced a rock opera, which I'm making the comic adaptation of currently (http://www.punksandnerds.com), and you can listen to it on Spotify, itunes, and bandcamp (http://brucemanthehero.bandcamp.com/album/the-awakening-of-a-superhero). If you like fast paced ska, then you'll probably enjoy listening to the album.
I wouldn't mind collaborating with some folks to make films or cartoons, with some stories I've been writing, but I'm known to pipe-dream.
I would also love to make licensed t-shirts for The Aquabats, can we get that collaboration going?
What historical figure do you most admire?
The Doctor.
If you weren't designing shirts, what would you be doing?
Editorial illustrations and probably children's books.
Would you rather be a ninja turtle or Splinter?
I was really hoping we'd branch away from Ninja Turtle related things, since this is my first non TMNT design. But we have failed after this question.
