The Problem with Ninjas
About the artist
Tell us about this design.
The chances are you'll never see a Ninja, as everyone knows they're pretty stealthy. But if you do happen to see a ninja or in this case 6, you'd better make sure you're well armed. A handy Shuriken might be the difference between you and DEATH!
Where are you from?
How did you get started designing t-shirts?
Years ago I learned the folk art of screen printing. My first attempts at tee designing weren't great, however I got hooked and have been trying to improve ever since. I still don't feel I've really explored any kind of style but I'm getting there.
What advice would you offer to aspiring designers?
Learning how to manipulate form and content is the foundation of great design. You'll only improve your visual literacy if you take the time to understand and experiment with those two concepts. Also, it takes time to really understand the meaning and importance of just being yourself, so learn to take criticism on the chin and never give up.
What would be your dream job?
What is your favorite thing about ninjas?
They're modest - never seeking the limelight, and happy to work behind the scenes.
What would your ideal house be like?
Open, airy, big enough for plenty of games, with a decent size room for my own hide away studio.
Ninja vs. samurai: which would win the battle?
A Samurai would clean up if a toe to toe fight kicked off, but the Ninja would probably feign injury then strike with a lethal punch of DOOM as the Samurai let down his guard.
What was your favorite as a kid: comics, cartoons, or movies? Was there a specific title you liked most of all?
Cartoon movies were the best. Films like Bakshi's LOTR, Watership Down & The Secret of Nimh still hold a decent amount of wonder in me.
What are a few of your favorite websites?
