Also, I may have got the idea when my workplace decided that the 3pm shift I signed up for would be changed to a 7am shift. I didn't even know there was 7am. WHAT ELSE HAVE THEY BEEN HIDING?
Where are you from?
Some strange city called Melbourne. A place with a lot of coffee and foolish haircuts. Kind of the Portland wannabe of Australia.
How did you get started designing t-shirts?
Someone pinned "Kick Me" to the back of my shirt. After the bruising went down, it occurred to me that if the "kick me" was on the front, and didn't read "kick me", I could [probably make something of it..
What advice would you offer to aspiring designers?
Learn to paint if you can't. Experiment with media. Go to life-drawing classes. And stop giggling, you will actually learn things. Unless the drawing model also works at your local pizza store. I do not recommend the Awkward Pepperoni Special.
What would be your dream job?
Unopposed Dictator for Life. Everyone in the business kind of forgets about that first word.
What is your favorite thing about coffee?
That feeling of fleeting invincibility as you run flashing brightly through turtles and mushrooms and no wait that's a Super Star.
What would your ideal house be like?
Standing. And also filled with lego.
Kangaroos vs. koalas: which would win the battle?
What most people outside Australia don't seem to realise is that these seemingly cute and/or cuddly looking creatures are right little vicious bastards who will take your leg clean off. The koala? Two thumbs. On each hand. Look it up. It's a damn mutant. And as for kangaroos... I once had overcooked kangaroo meat and it tasted terrible. Truly horrifying animals.
What was your favorite as a kid: comics, cartoons, or movies? Was there a specific title you liked most of all?
Let's say Ninja Turtles, because it encompasses all three. Or maybe some animated movie about a comic book.
What are a few of your favorite websites?
I'd love to be classy and list all the amazing blogs and tumblrs out there that would do amazing things for my indie cred, but mostly I just find random bits and pieces.
