I saw this on your (the artist's) facebook the other day and have been pondering getting it. I have a shirt similar to it though except with a Potter Puppet Pal Voldie. I reallllllly like this though... hmm, I'm torn lol.

SHE-FURY: All this week, February 5th - 11th, we're featuring designs created by artists of the female persuasion. Women represent only a small fraction of our overall artist roster. We hope focusing attention on them will inspire other aspiring designers, male and female, to start creating and find success working as an independent artist.

Tell us about this design.

I have always be intrigued by Alphonse Mucha's "Medea" design. It's so dark. I liked the idea of taking Voldemort and drawing him with the beautiful lines of Art Nouveau. I imagine that if the Battle of Hogwarts had gone differently, Voldemort would have had this painting commissioned to hang in the Ministry of Magic.

Where are you from?

Nahant, Massachusetts...the site of the country's first lawn tennis game

How would you describe your style?

I am still trying to find it, ask me again in the next interview.

If you could collaborate with anyone else, who would you pick?

Well, I love to draw, but I struggle with color, and sometimes the design element....so I would want to collaborate with other artists that have killer color sense and a good eye for design. Megan Lara and Kari Fry spring to mind. Plus, they are just awesome ladies.

What historical figure do you most admire?

Kaldi, the 9th-century Ethiopian goatherd who discovered coffee.

If you weren't designing shirts, what would you be doing?

Probably waitressing to pay the bills, so hopefully I can keep designing shirts. Waitressing will suck out your soul.

Would you rather face an evil wizard or a corrupt politician?

Well, as I have no magical powers (yet) I'll take the corrupt politician.

Space cowboy vs. country astronaut: which would win the battle?

Country astronaut? Is that a thing? Is this a trick question?

What is your favorite t-shirt color?

Black, but I rarely wear black, because we have a dog. Whenever I wear something black, it's coated in dog fur in 3.6 seconds.

What has been your favorite vacation or travel experience?

Taking my oldest son to Disney World for the first time. He was three and a half, and the first time he met Mickey Mouse, I just about melted. We are going again in the Fall, and it will be my youngest son's first time, I can't wait.
