About the artist
Tell us about this design.
I love the show and Barney is one of the greatest characters on TV mainly because Neil Patrick Harris is the man! I wanted to do a really simple straightforward design to show my appreciation for Barney so...Bam! what up? Internet five!
Where are you from?
I group up in Irvine CA which is a pretty evil place. Not in a literal sense I think they are actually legitimately the safest city in the US, which is what makes it evil. But I escaped and now I live in Costa Mesa, CA a bit closer to the beach and a lot friendlier.
How did you get started designing t-shirts?
Well I started designing Movie posters for fun because I love minimalist design. After that I found teefury and Jimmy let me have a crack at T-design by accepting my Archer/spy vs spy mash up. Once that sweet t shirt nectar hit my veins I was hooked.
What advice would you offer to aspiring designers?
Don't listen to anyone! Especially me! But you should definitely take advice if it sounds good to you as long as the person is trustworthy. That's not hypocritical is it?
What would be your dream job?
I don't think I'll ever have one job. I kind of aim to be the modern day renaissance man. For instance I also want to start building furniture. I've got blueprints for a new chandelier and coffee table on stand by for when I make time to construct them.
What is your favorite thing about comedy?
The chemical process involved in laughter that releases endorphins and makes you feel like a million bucks.
What would your ideal house be like?
I'm actually kind of geeked out on housing right now. I watch way too much HGTV for a heterosexual male. Size of house doesn't really matter I just want something a lil bit different with a lot of character.
Doctor Horrible vs. Doogie Howser: which would win the battle?
Hmm. Doctor Horrible is more conniving, but Doogie Howser was a child prodigy. Hey wait a second these guys look a lot alike. Wait they're the same guy! Neil Patrick Harris FTW!
What was your favorite as a kid: comics, cartoons, or movies? Was there a specific title you liked most of all?
As a kid I was all about cartoons. The usual suspects like TMNT and ghostbusters, but also shows like Bucky O'hare, Rocko's Modern Life or basically anything on Saturday Morning. Is Reboot considered a cartoon because that show was awesome!?
What are a few of your favorite websites?
I love all the tee a day sites so I usually check out teemagnet.com and shirtoid.com. If I'm not on those then I'm usually check out slashfilm.com's page 2 or lurkin around the RBC asylum on facebook.
Any shout outs?
