Yes. Not to mention that while turtles can swim, they are usually near water, but not under it for extended periods of time. Unless of course, it's like a sea turtle.

I was thinking the same thing... The turtle should be in some kind of bowl. A baby turtle in a plastic bag is bad.

The turtle is cute though, but I will have to pass because of it being in a bag...

I think it is clear that the Darkwing Duck side art NEEDS to be printed. I recommend doing so asap. As for today's shirt, although I am an avid TMNT fan, I'm not a fan of the guppy bag idea.

Well, depending on how much water is in there yes and no. I work at petsmart and when we bag the fish you make sure to trap air inside so they have some fresh air. Usually bagged fish/crickets can only survive about 2 hours or so

I love the idea, just not the way its been done, I do think that people are freaking out too much about the bag - its the idea that you can just go buy one from a petshop!!
Also I personally would prefer Raphael tho that could end up looking like an actual breed of turtle.

Congratulations on the print, I like the idea a lot, but I am not sure that it is instantly recognisable as a ninja turtle so I'd want it to be a bit more obvious, also the placement makes it a bit awkward on a shirt so it's a no from me this time. If any of the sideart gets printed, however...

Is the turtle in a plastic bag just for the sake of having him be in something? I think it'd look better without the bag.

Not to mention, they normally put turtles in a container for you to bring them home in, not plastic bags like they do fish.

I'm pretty sure that "ninja bit" is part of the joke, whereas the bag isn't? :P

As someone else said, it kind of hurts it aesthetically and it doesn't even make sense besides, since turtles aren't normally sold in bags.

While I think today's shirt is cute and all it just not for me. I do agree with others though, Darkwing Duck would be an insta-buy for me!

Too many good shirts, my family is starting to question my fashion sense (you're wearing *ANOTHER* t-shirt!?!). Any chance we can change it up and get t-shirts with pockets, I really like putting my iPod in my chest pocket so I have easy access to change songs and stuff.

Tell us about this design.

When it comes to illustrations, I'm a fan of coming up with things that are simple, yet work. I have a ton of ideas in my head, and I just had to get this one out the minute I thought of it. Besides, when I did grow up, I had two pet turtles named Michaelangelo and Donatello. If you're going to get a pet turtle, it has to be named correctly, right?

Where are you from?

Brooklyn, NY. A few subway minutes away from Manhattan.

How did you get started designing t-shirts?

I started practicing with t-shirt designs in 1999-2000, but I wasn't very good. When my designs came in the mail, I was like, "Oh. No. This is not good," and prevented myself from doing shirts until 2003. At

that point I completed my first year of art school, felt my skill improved enough to start printing designs on clothing again. I first made designs that I targeted to my webcomic audience, but by 2005 I branched out to make designs that I enjoyed creating, but didn't require the buyer to be a fan of the comic. In 2006 things were going very well, but it became too much for me to design, sell, distribute, handle PR, lost orders, unhappy (and happy) customers, while trying to finish senior year of college, that I retired from clothing designs until 2010, where I learned there was this wonderful world of t-shirt collectors and merchants. It allowed me to enjoy designing once again.

What advice would you offer to aspiring designers?

It's not humanly possible to please everyone. Find people that will appreciate you, and be thankful for them. Thank them as much as you can! And remember there are highs and lows with all aspects of life.

So if (or when) there's a low in your designing career, just keep going. Only stop when it no longer makes you feel happy.

What would be your dream job?

I'm a pipedreamer. I work on lots of original ideas, and ideally my dream job would be to have something original I've created turn into a grand slam. I'd then run with it.

What is your favorite thing about the 80s?

I want to say something other than Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but I'm seriously blanking.

What would your ideal house be like?

Let's answer this as my 1980s self pictured it. It is a mansion, shaped like the Turtle's Sewer Lair. And there's this huge indoor swimming pool on the bottom floor. If you dive into the pool, you'll find a hidden circular door. Swim into it and it turns into a tube that leads you into a hidden Arcade room.

Mario vs. Pikachu: which would win the battle?
While being scorched numerous times by tunderbolts and quick attacks, Mario would luck out, scoop up a star, and claim victory.

What was your favorite as a kid: comics, cartoons, or movies? Was there a specific title you liked most of all?

Comic - Calvin and Hobbes

Cartoons - Let's just ignore TMNT already and pick something else...

Uhm... Chip N' Dale Rescue Rangers.

What are a few of your favorite websites?

I don't know I don't really have. Oh wait! Have you guys heard of this site called teefury.com? You see back in 2003-2006 I sold merchandise solo. I felt t-shirts was heading towards a direction of oversaturation, but then I learned about these daily sites that offer crazy low prices and work hard to promote the artist so they can find an audience that loves their voice. I think this format of selling

clothing will help rejuvenate the industry, and take it into directions that hasn't been see just yet. (I'm kind of serious here, I do think highly of this format)
