Yeah, except that they're not: Frank is a real person and Durden is The Narrator's alternate personality.
Frank is real, but in parts of the movie I would consider him imaginary, or at least not really there in a bunny suit.
As for Tyler, yes hes an alternate personality... but he has split off, effectively becoming his own person, who technically speaking isn't real.
We can argue semantics all night, my point was that they are, indeed, connected =]

They're only connected if you consider them imaginary, and I've just presented the case--which you confirmed at least partly--that two of them are very much NOT imaginary.
Durden in particular has an enormous impact on the world, even if he uses The Narrator's physical form to carry out his plans. Nobody in the whole story but The Narrator sees Durden as anything but real.
So I guess I'm saying I can understand why they artist might see their imaginary natures as connecting them, but that's a fallacious association.
The artist himself said they were imaginary. Yet the disputes apparently still can't be settled. Guess the artist doesnt know his own creation.
Neat design in all. Darkoooooo<33
Kurosake said: The artist himself said they were imaginary. Yet the disputes apparently still can't be settled. Guess the artist doesnt know his own creation.
Wouldn't be the first time an artist's execution fell well short of his intent.
Tyler Durden from Fight Club. Hobbes from Calvin and Hobbes. Ralph Wiggum's Leprechaun from The Simpsons. Frank from Donnie Darko. Sweet idea, but not a buy for me.
They are all characters who exist in someone's mind and can only be seen by that person.
Donnie Darko is the only one who can communicate with Frank.
Ralph Wiggum is the only one who can communicate with The Leprechaun.
Calvin is the only one who can communicate with Hobbs.
The narrator is the only one who can communicate with Tyler Durden
I know Hobbes and Frank, but who are the other two?
The Leprachaun who lives in Ralph Wiggum's backyard and Tyler Durden. I take the motif as being character's only seen by the protagonist.
Good call. I like it because most people will have no idea what it means and may not have the balls to ask you, then forever wonder what in the heck they were looking at lol.
They're all imaginary characters or characters created by the main characters in their respective stories. i.e. Frank the bunny is "created" by Donnie Darko, Tyler Durden is created by the narrator in Fight Club, Hobbes is created by Calvin, and the leprachaun is created by Ralph Wiggum and is also in one of the Treehouse of Horrors simpsons episode...it's pretty clever!

dude you're missing out, fight club is a great movie...trippy
Doesn't anyone read the "about the artist coloumn"? He says they are some of the popular imaginary friends. Interesting concept. Not a buy for me though.
DesiredFX said: I'm not getting this one at all...seems like a random collection of characters with no connection to one another...not even a pun...
they got a connection, Tyler Durden is the imaginary friend of Edward Norton on Fight Club, the leprechaun is the imaginary friend of one of the Simpsons, Rabbit is the imaginary friend of Donnie Darko and Hobbes not much of an imaginary friend but a weird friend (cat who can talk) of Calvin
For the title to fit they should have been at the end of the starred rainbow from the cover of "Magical Mystery Tour" instead of "Abbey Road". Other than that, a good idea.
Great design, but the coolness factor is kinda brought down a few points by the leprechaun. Memorable episode, but that leprechaun is nowhere near as meaningful or "important" as the others.
I recognized Hobbes and Frank, but wasn't sure what leprechaun I was looking at. Tyler Durden really should have been obvious, given the context, but whatever.
I'll consider this tee, since I'm really familiar with all components, although I'm not exactly a big fan of any of them.
DesiredFX said: I'm not getting this one at all...seems like a random collection of characters with no connection to one another...not even a pun...
They're all imaginary...
Imaginary andtheir whole essence is being an influential figment of a characters imagination. I love the leprecaun, so old school. Frank, tyler and calvin should be obvious. I'm surprised so many people didn't get it...
Wow.. seems like some people just want to be heard even if they have nothing to say.
Anyhow, I enjoy the design but I'm not a big enough fan of the simpsons reference so I'll have to pass. On another note, the sidart is scrumptious. Well done!
I like the design but, as these comments bear witness to, you really have to work for your gold coin here. People who aren't apt to buying designs that need explanations probably won't dig it.
If people want to get even further into it, all the characters were made up by the writer of the books/TV show/movie. Thus they're all part of someone else's imagination. :P
I wish people would stop being so argumentative. The shirt works and if one or more of you doesn't like it, don't buy it. You've saved yourself $10.
Grats on the print! I actually like the concept, but I'm not a fan of the shirt colour.
Wow the Simpsons Leprechaun is way off from being related to the other three, and for everyone saying Brad Pitt is Tyler Durden your wrong and right, both Characters were Tyler Durden so that is the aggressive personalilty/character
I get three of the four being imaginary but who's gonna get the lil guy being the leprechaun from the simpsons? And why abbey rhode? I wish this site added how many people buy the shirt...
OMG. After about 10 seconds I figured it out. Come on people! These are all characters that are a figment of someone's imaginations. Donnie (frank), Ralph Wiggum(leprechaun), Calvin(Hobbs), Ed Norton(Tyler Durden)
They are all characters who don't exist in the realm of the person they are influencing. Angels and devils on your shoulders and all that, you wear this shirt as if to say: its not my doing, and these guys are cool
I'm really surprised by all of the comments here. I love the concept of a bunch of iconic imaginary friends walking Abbey Road. Instant buy for me & quite frankly when I buy my shirts I don't care if anyone gets it, I assume they won't. When someone does, that's the person I want to talk to.
I know Hobbes and Frank, but who are the other two?
Tyler Durden and the Leprechaun who tells Ralph to burn things :P I am aware that your question has already been answered, but I wanted to get my word in too :P
I really dig Frank, Hobbes, and Tyler on this shirt. They are all "real" in a sense (Frank was a real person, Hobbes is a real stuffed animal, and Tyler is in a sense the protagonist) but are viewed differently by the protagonists of their respective stories and become "unreal." Very nifty connection.
Unfortunately, I'm not a Simpsons fan, so I don't even know if the Leprechaun fits the motif. Even more unfortunately, his presence prevents me from making an otherwise guaranteed purchase. Kind of wish he were Wilfred or something instead, but I'm sure other people will enjoy the shirt.

I had the Cheap Trick cover of "Magical Mystery Tour" in my head while brainstorming shirt ideas and some popular imaginary friends crossing Abbey Road came to mind.
Where are you from?
Calgary, Alberta, Canada
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
This is my first shirt printed so far, but I have a bunch of new designs cooking, so keep your eyes peeled.
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
I secretly talk to the few stuffed toys I still own
Name a few of your favorite things.
Funny stuff my kids say, Super Mario Brothers, live action adaptations of cartoons & games (except Super Mario Brothers) dinosaurs and peanut butter cups.
What kind of art did you make as a kid?
I did everything. Paint, sketch, sculpt, cartoons, papercraft, flip-books, but Halloween decorations were always a favourite.
What is your favorite thing about mysteries?
They were 20 minutes or less and always solved by a couple of preppies, a hot nerdy chick in a sweater and a pair of scruffy looking kids with a perpetual case of the munchies.
Flintstones vs Jetsons: which would win the battle?
Technology has made humans soft. Weaponry aside, the neanderthals and their trusty pet elephant vacuum cleaners would make short work of them for sure.
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
It's dark green and has a graphic of a reptile skeleton. It reminds me of the Mexican vacation I was on when I bought it.
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favoritetitle in your chosen medium.
They all have equal space in my life. Anything Mario (except Dr. Mario), IT by Stephen King, and Star Wars
What inspires your work?
Other artists for sure. I was never very good at sports, so I use art as a competitive outlet.
Any shout outs?
My wife, whether or not she understands my designs, the guys from poker, who re-introduced me to funny shirts, and the TeeFury members who helped this n00b figure out the site in the forums.
