Who's the Tough Guy Meow?
About the artist
Tell us a bit about this design.
"Who's the Tough Guy Meow?" was made as a response to all the Affliction and Tapout "tough guy" shirts out there. We wanted to take the skull, this go-to element for all of those kind of designs, and completely remove its edginess. What's less edgy than a bunch of kittens? NOTHING. Well maybe kittens in wedding dresses. That's super cute.
Where are you from?
All three members of Harebrained are PROUDLY from Chicago.
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
We make a line of menstrual themed panties. They're called Period Panties and completely awesome.
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
We definitely don't want them to find out about our website. That's where we sell our products. Privately. On the internet. The only thing worse than that would be if people figured out that we offer design services! I really hope people don't find out about that. And then hire us. Ugh, both of those would be THE WORST.
Name a few of your favorite things.
Brewing Beer, Kitschy Shit, Standup Comedy, Handmade stuff
What kind of art did you make as a kid?
What is your favorite thing about cats?
They don't give "A #$@%".
Bugs Bunny vs. Roger Rabbit: which would win the battle?
In the battle of life? You tell me who wins: A rabbit who's married to Jessica Rabbit? Or a rabbit who loves cat & mouse games with a lispy hunter?
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
Since all we do is design shirts for ourselves and our clients, we're kind of shirted out. All three of us insist on being topless 24/7.
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
I'm gonna change the question to "Which is better, gaming, reading, watching movies, OR petting puppies" Wow, um, that's a really great question. And a tough one too! uh, geez... ummmm... I think I'm gonna have to go with petting puppies. Yeah, my final answer is petting puppies.
What inspires your work?
The 85 Chicago Bears, Mucha, and Wonder Showzen.
Any shout outs?
Since we've never been interviewed before, I'd like to give a shout out to my main boy/girl TeeFury! You're the greatest!
