Heimlich Heimlich Hippos
About the artist
Tell us a bit about this design.
Those hungry hippos eat a lot of marbles. At first I thought about doing an x-ray of a belly full of marbles, but liked the immediacy of the Heimlich Maneuver. When the name popped into my head, that sealed it.
Where are you from?
The Pacific Northwest of the United States, where I regularly run out of time to enjoy all the great reasons to live here.
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
I'm just every other artist in this community: trying to make a little scratch while entertaining the t-shirt fans.
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
Miyagi told me to never bait the internet like that.
Name a few of your favorite things.
(In no particular order) My family, graphic design, animating, and stand-up comedy.
What kind of art did you make as a kid?
Kids don't admire art, they make it.
What is your favorite thing about hippos?
They come in so many bright colors and great fruit flavors!
Monopoly vs. Connect 4: which would win the battle?
My family refuses to play Monopoly anymore, but Connect 4x4 is pretty awesome.
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
My Millenterprise Falcon that TeeFury printed way back when is still a go-to. It was the first of my designs to be printed through TF and always gets a great response.
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
The only thing I really have time for is the movie category, since my screen is big enough to throw a Netflix window into the corner while I work. Lately I've been filling my head with sci-fi, horror, and 80's sitcoms.
What inspires your work?
My overactive imagination and unhealthy need to create something nerdy on a regular basis.
