About the artist
Tell us about this design.
It's one of my all time fave movies! It has so many iconic scenes and images but pea soup vomit is one of the most popular. I originally wanted to simply parody the Rolling Stones Tongue logo, but inspiration struck!
Where are you from?
I come from a small town in the North East of England, caught smack between the North Yorkshire Moors of American Werewolf in London and the industrial wasteland that inspired local boy Ridley Scott when he created the cityscapes of Blade Runner. It's not nearly as exciting as it sounds.
What has been your most adventurous moment?
Watching a triple bill of The Shining, The Exorcist and Paranormal Activity then going up in the loft to investigate scraping, thumping, barking noises. On my own. In the dark!! Turns out a bunch of dogs were running an illegal bare knuckle boxing tournament up there!
What has been the most valuable advice you've been given?
Don't eat the yellow snow
If you had a theme song, what would it be?
The theme from The Rockford Files as played by Max Tundra!
What is your favorite thing about The Exorcist?
It's so well crafted, like the best horror it's the eternal tale of good vs evil as played out in real surroundings. So much to like, it balances ott effects with unseen creepiness, a cast who give it 110% and a killer theme tune. What's best though is that it's not Exorcist 2!
Jason vs. Freddy: which would win the battle?
Man, I love that movie! It sit's at the opposite end of the horror spectrum to The Exorcist, but does what it does so well! And it has to be Freddy for the win. Even when he's in the real world he gives as good as he gets, like a demented monkey on Jasons back.
Describe the strangest shirt you own.
Ha, got to be my bright yellow Boba Fett tee I picked up a few years ago. I got it because it had sweet artwork on it, but it's so damn bright it sears the eyeballs. It might look good on LMFAO down on Venice Beach, but here in the desolate North of England it looks like a desperate cry for attention.
What would be your dream project to work on?
A kung fu zombie video game featuring the voice talents of Matt Berry!
Any shout outs?
Sam Raimi and John Carpenter for keeping me SO entertained as a teenager with their ability to bring a touch of class to solid B-Movie entertainment!
