why did you not make the bodies pixelated in the same style.. I like the idea but the execution leaves something to be desired.

If it was a nice recognizable mesh I may go for it. The art is great. The 8-bits look pasted on. Not my style. Nice job on the bodies though

Nice. Odd to use Dig-Dug as a source twice, though. Could've been a Space Invader or Galaga instead.

It looks like sprites were just pasted on zombie heads. This is not aesthetically pleasing in the least and gives an impression of shoddy artisanship.

I got excited about this when I saw the post on FB, but this design leaves a lot to be desired.The mash-up concept doesn't make much sense, usually there's some dynamic that unites the two, even if its a pun. The artwork is cool on the bodies, but the heads don't blend well, even though that is the artist's intention. There's not even real clear direction in the artist's execution- why aren't they all at least video game villains? Or all Pac-Man ghosts? Its too bad, as well, because the artist clearly has talent.

Aw I love the Charlie Brown monster design. Not a huge fan of today's shirt. It takes a lot for me to want to wear a zombie shirt or an 8-bit shirt even though I love both.

Not really feeling this, the pixels don't go with the bodies very well and the overall idea feels half baked.

nice that classic movie monster MashedPotato reminds me of the zombie ninja pirate design a few years back :)

Would've been terrific if they'd been drawn with their bodies but as zombies. An opportunity missed. Please insert additional quarters.

Oh, and god save the queen with amidala is a pretty sweet Mashedpotato. I actually wrote Mashedpotato instead of being edited by it ;)

Not a fan of the fact it looks like the head are just stuck on an otherwise nice Zombie shirt. I do love the side art though... I LOVE the classic horror face!

i personally like the contrast between the colorful 8-bit heads, and the grey, realistic bodies. Going to have to sleep on it though.

I actually would have liked if they were just zombies without the 8 bit heads.

Sorry, my friend...at the end of the day it doesn't work...maybe if you'd done something to 'Zombify' your creatures, it might have worked. As it is, no chance. Best of luck in the future.

The monster mash side art is very nice. I would love to see that printed.

The pasted-on heads are the best part. It's FUNNY. I dig it.

unfortunately, I'm not a particular fan of 8-bit so I won't be getting this but good job on the print =]

its pretty odd that this tee actually made it through and got selected to be printed...no idea what they were thinking as it just isn't appealing art in the least considering it looks like a simple copy/paste job and wasn't even blended properly

I think this design would have worked better as a night of the living dead illustrated piece without the 8-bit stuff. I love the ground part and the way the text lines up with it.

I still hate that I missed out on the artists last shirt (super sloth). That one was awesome.

I usually hate these kind of comments (so, sorry!) but I would buy the hell out of that Max Rebo side art. Hope I haven't already missed it somewhere, sometime (as is usually the case with awesome side art)...

Proof that the zombie fad has overstayed it's welcome. Wonderful side art though!

God Save the Queen side art is perfection.

I love zombie shirts and I love 8-bit shirts but these two don't really fit my expectations. A dr. Horrible shirt would be nice..

Ohh, how I am in love with the classic monsters tee side-art.

This shirt rocks! I've been a fan of teefury for about 6 months now but had yet to buy a shirt until today. My three teenagers and I are huge Zombie and Horror genre buffs and my boys actually prefer the old 80's video games on our old Sega as opposed to most of the new stuff. I think this design is a PERFECT sMashedPotato between the two, so I not only bought myself a t-shirt but bought all 4 of us shirts!!! Thanks y'all!

I have to say though there are a lot of "non-positive" comments on this they seem to be mostly constructive to the artist. The negative comments seem to be against teefury for selecting it for print.

I hate to jump on the bandwagon, for despite popular opinion beating a dead horse is not the sport of kings, but the execution of this wonderous idea left a lot to be desired in my book. I dont know which would have looked better; 8-bit drawings of zombies with the heads used above, or if doing real looking versions of the 8-bit characters (I suspect the former idea to be better) but the mix of the two came off looking too cheesy and weak, even for this crowd, myself included. ;) I think all of the side art is head & tentacles above the shirt offered today.

I dont see a pic of this on my page. I see the old time horror mash up, Max Rebo Band, A Cyclopse with two pirhanna in it's brain cavity, and a Charlie Brown/Sea Monster mash up. Where is the Star Wars/Sex Pistols mash-up?

They should've just made the whole zombie in 8-bit....

If you are referring to the zombie portion of the image, it's not copyrighted only by me since I illustrated it. The pasted on look was the effect I was going for, cheap and cheesy just like the movies were. I guess the humor was lost on the masses. Maybe next time i can come up with more of a crowd pleaser. Thanks for the crits and comments regarding it, good with the bad its all groovy.
