Timelord and Proud

Tell us a bit about this design.
This shirt is inspired by the coolest mofo modown around this town. I wanted a design that looked more like a coat of arms and didn't point to a specific Doctor.
Where are you from?
I was cast and molded in a town outside Detroit, Michigan. I was raised in Tennessee and currently reside in Arkansas.
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
I'm a freelance illustrator, web-cartoonist, and now a t-shirt designer. I sometimes dabble in film and animation from time to time. I'm a geek through and through. I was the kid in class that could quote Star Wars. I had the Enterprise on my shelf and I wrote volumes of Mortal Kombat fatality code. I am 100% non-apologetic nerd, geek, dork whatever you wanna call me. It's what I am and it's what I love...that and Jack Daniels.
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
That the only good that came out of the Star Wars prequels was Darth Maul. Simply put, the prequels sucked. Now begun the Nerd Wars have.
Name a few of your favorite things.
A blue colored box and Jack Daniels in a bar.
The planet Vulcan being destroyed by the Deathstar.
The World of Warcraft and the joy of getting a DING!
These are a few of my favorite things.
What kind of art did you make as a kid?
I drew mostly stick figures and squiggly lines. That was until I got a hold of some comics and started drawing everything that I saw there. Jim Lee, J. Scott Campbell and Greg Capullo were my favorites.
What is your favorite thing about Doctor Who?
The Doctor is without a doubt the quintessential man's man. He picks up all kinds of women, drives around with a pimped out ride, gets into all kinds of trouble and has fun doing it. I like his attitude and how he is played by both David Tennant and Matt Smith. David Tennant is still MY Doctor and is my favorite. I may have started another Nerd War by stating that. Oh well.
Lord of the Rings vs. Game of Thrones: which would win the battle?
Ouch....good question. If you were to take all the forces from Game of Thrones and put them up against all the forces of Lord of the Rings. I personally think that LoR would faceroll GoT. If it's any conciliation, I think Tyrion Lannister would own Frodo any day of the week. Sam too for that matter.
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
My wife gave me a web-comic themed birthday a couple years ago. I got an assortment of books and prints. I also got a "Fruit Friend" t-shirt (not it's real name) and a "Photoshop Hero" hoodie from Penny Arcade. The shirt is my favorite for three reasons. My wife got it for me, I love Penny Arcade and the shirt represents my kind of humor. That last part is a little disturbing if you put too much thought into it.
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
I'm really into gaming. I'm currently playing Batman: Arkham City in between World of Warcraft raids. FOR THE HORDE!! If I had to pick my favorite title I would have to say Metal Gear Solid. I love the story and I'm really into sneaky espionage/action games.
What inspires your work?
I get inspired by a lot of creators out there, and not just in one field either. I really like Winter Artworks t-shirts. Mike Krahulik and Lar deSouza are my favorite webcomic artists. I'm really getting into Dave Repouza's digital paintings. I can go on with this list forever. I even get inspired by people that don't do art. I look at movie directors like Christopher Nolan and get just as inspired. I think it's just boils down to creativity in general that inspires me.
Any shout outs?
My wife and kids. They are awesome. My wife encourages me and inflates my ego when it comes to how good I am. We artists are our own worse critics and she keeps me from picking my artwork to death. She also keeps my head from getting too far in the clouds, keeps me focused.
