Tell us about this design.
JEFF: The design's concept came from my friend Mike Giacopetti. We both love the show so he pitched the idea to me and I liked it. Mike basically acted like an art director on this one. I just did the illustration. He also designed the logo.
MIKE: Watching the show, I loved the Los Pollos Hermanos logo and I thought it would be fun to have the two main characters in chicken suits. Jeff's illustration really went beyond my original idea also by adding elements and it really pulled everything together.
Where are you from?
JEFF: I am from Fishtown in Philly.
MIKE: A suburb of Philly, Springfield, PA
Which art style would you most like to learn?
JEFF: I guess I would like to learn to do looser cartooning, something more explosive, like Ralph Steadman.
If you had a time machine, which era would you visit first?
JEFF: I'd like to go back to the early part of the 20th century when movies and newspaper comics were new and fresh. I'd like to hang out with Chaplin and guys like Winsor McCay and George Herriman.
MIKE: The future, I always wanted to see beyond my years.
What goal do you most aspire towards?
JEFF: I try and make progress every day and not take steps backwards.
MIKE: To make something that gets parodied on TeeFury.
If you could stop any t-shirt trend in its tracks, which would you end? What trend would you like to see started?
JEFF: I'm not really against or for any trends. People like what they like.
MIKE: Guys wearing tight shirts... What's up with that!?!?
Would you rather own a hoverboard or a UFO?
JEFF: U.F.O. I'd like to meet the Venusians Jack Nicholson was talking about in Easy Rider.
MIKE: I already have both but, I guess I use my U.F.O. more.
Dogs vs. cats: which would win the battle?
JEFF: I'm a dog guy. Allergic to cats.
MIKE: I'm like Jeff, allergic. But are dogs allergic to cats.. Hmmm...
Describe the first shirt you ever designed.
JEFF: It was for my Freshman class at North Catholic High School. I drew a superhero inspired by our school mascot - the Falcon. It was kind of awful, but I guess not bad for a 13 year-old kid. At a recent book release, my Mom's best friend Peggy wore it. Made me feel pretty good.
MIKE: I think it was a "Go climb a rock" shirt like the Kirk wears in Star Trek V.
What has been your most inspiring art experience?
JEFF: Hard to say. But if I had to pick I would probably say teaching art at my old high school for seven years or volunteering art lessons at the Children's Crisis Treatment Center.
MIKE: Probably going to the Philadelphia Art Museum, it's hard to not be inspired there.

MIKE: Jeff Kilpatrick, my wife and son, Cool Kif, Dave Perillo, Vince Gilligan, Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston for making Breaking Bad one of the best shows on TV.
