About the artist
Tell us about this design.
This design is a little different for me, compared to my previous Teefury offerings. At a recent comic convention, a friend of mine asked me to do a sketch in her themed sketchbook. The concept was sports teams logos, having the artist come up with whatever fictional team name (and fictional sport, for that matter) and create an original logo for said team. Being a fan of a certain zombie film that takes place in North London, it didn't take long for me to come up with an idea. Creating a logo on the spot is a bit different than sketching an already established character in someone's sketchbook. Any designer out there that has created a logo for any purpose knows that it takes a bit of thought and lots of drawing and redrawing to capture the essence of what your logo is to represent. I held on to the idea until I had a chance to sit and refine the image, changing a few things and adding a recognizable piece of sporting equipment to the design was the proverbial icing on the cake.
What is your most unexpected or exciting memory?
I've got quite a few, but setting aside the memories of the first time that I met the woman I would marry, and the birth of our son, my most exciting moment would be recently having the opportunity to meet one of my musical heroes; Mr. Elvis Costello
If you could make anyone besides yourself Ruler of the Universe, who would you choose and why?
Lemmy Kilmister, 'nuff said...
Do you have any surprising talents or hobbies?
Most people would be surprised to find out that I have a fantastic singing voice, in addition to being a world champion in the competitive dance-form known as "clogging".
Do you prefer drama or comedy?
Documentaries on the competitive dance-form known as "clogging"...
Pen vs. pencil: which would win the battle?
A pen may be mightier than the sword, but a properly sharpened pencil can easily take out an eye or even puncture the throat, rendering your attacker helpless...
Describe your ideal day.
A good night's sleep, a full English breakfast, a productive day at the drawing table/computer monitor, a successful "toy-run" to the closest TrU and Targets, a few episodes of "Brave and the Bold" while playing "supah hee-woes" figures with my son, a gourmet Burger and craft beer for lunch, a little uninterrupted quiet time with the wife (including a nice dinner), and a "nightcap" on Scary Joe's drinking deck to finish off the day...
