Tell us about this design.
Dexter is an amazing show (especially season 4...Trinity Killer whatup!)....and one thing that stood out to me as a person who lived in South Florida for nearly four years, is how they managed to portray the the life style of the city of Miami. So I decided to create a design that represented the city and also every season of the show! I even added the greatest Key Lime Pie from season 3! :)
Where are you from?
I was born in Puerto Rico, but raised in the Bronx, NYC! :D
How did you get started designing t-shirts?
Well...I work for an apparel company, where we do designs for Licensed Sportswear, BUT...I started doing my own designs when the sideshow freaks over at my toy forum ... (http://sideshowcollectors.com/) kept on nagging me to do Star Wars shirts! lol It was so fun to do that i never looked back! :D
What advice would you offer to aspiring designers?
Surprisingly, designing shirts sometimes can be an emotional rollercoaster! lol You'll deal with rejection, harsh critiques, finding out that someone already designed your ideas or even when a design doesn't come out the way you wanted it to.
My advice is to keep on doing designs if your having fun doing them! Don't let things like this stop you from creating! Yes...you will have some hard days...but whatevz, you'll get over it! lol Just keep on trucking! :D
What would be your dream job?
Working for The Jim Henson Company! Or becoming an Art Director somewhere! ^_^
What is your favorite thing about Scott Pilgrim?
This is a tricky question! lol
My favorite thing about Scott Pilgrim the character is how dramatic he is! lol
About Scott Pilgrim the comic...I love how all the character are written and how each have such distinct personalities! Also, I really love the art of Bryan Lee O'Malley.
As for the movie... The cinematography, special effects and the direction! I love Edgar Wright! He's amazing!
Oh and my favorite character is Wallace! lol
What would your ideal house be like?
I've always wanted to live in a two story apartment/loft in Manhattan over looking Central Park! I would definitely decorate and furnish it like something from an IKEA catalog.... Oh and I HAS to have a fireman pole so that I could slide down to the first floor! lol
Oceans vs. mountains: which would win the battle?
See this is also a very tricky question.
They're so many variables on how this battle can take place.
For example..if the battle is during a long period of time... then I would have to say the ocean because of all the erosion damage.
But if the battle is short and sweet.... well then I might have to say that the mountain would beat the ocean because of it's hard surface which acts like a defense mechanism.
And then theres the possibility that the ocean might be carrying a hurricane.... or maybe the mountain is actually a volcano.
GAH! This is such a hard question! :/
I guess...I'll go with the Ocean mainly because it covers about 71% of the Earth's surface...making it have a higher XP average than the Mountain. :)
What was your favorite as a kid: comics, cartoons, or movies? Was there a specific title you liked most of all?
I was a cartoon junkie as a kid! My all time favorite was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! While all the other girls where humming songs from NKOTB, I was jamming to the TMNT theme!!! Yeah!

I don't really see this as representative of "life style" of the city either. Maybe Miami in 1950's but this doesn't remind me of Miami style at all to be honest.
Just an all around miss for me personally, but as always, 'grats on the print :D
