Tell us about this design.
I thought it would be fun to imagine that the “weeping angels” were stealing other time machines and going joyriding in them.
Where are you from?
I live in Lehi, Utah, but I’m originally from California.
How did you get started designing t-shirts?
I’ve designed quite a few t-shirts as a graphic designer, but when I saw what TeeFury was doing with pop culture references, I started getting a lot of ideas.
What advice would you offer to aspiring designers?
Find an idea for a t-shirt design that your favorite fan obsession isn’t making, and then design it yourself. Or think about the elements that two different things you like have in common, and mash them up.
What would be your dream job?
I have always wanted to draw comics professionally, which I have done now for the past 5 years, so I’ve accomplished my dream.
What is your favorite thing about Doctor Who?
I like the way that it keeps the history of the show intact, while still making it fresh. It’s great nostalgia to see the old villains and characters incorporated into the new series.
What would your ideal house be like?
One with more rooms for my family, and a bigger studio.
Delorean vs. police box: which would win the battle?
Both can fly and travel through time, it’s a close one. I guess I’d have to give it to the Tardis as it is roomier on the inside.
What was your favorite as a kid: comics, cartoons, or movies? Was there a specific title you liked most of all?
I’d have to say comics, I read a ton of them as a kid. Superman was my favorite title.
What are a few of your favorite websites?
I’m always checking out www.avclub.com, and I listen to www.pandora.com a lot. And of course I check in with www.teefury.com every day to see what’s new.
