I second that. Maybe they are considering it subtle because of the color scheme? Dirty Dancing is a fairly bright and colorful flick...I can't think of any other way this design is subtle.

I totally bought this for my mom. This is her favorite movie of all time.

I think the initial comment was more along the lines of: IF you didn't really know characters from the movie this is subtle enough to pass as a shirt for a dance school.

Granted some that has seen the movie a bunch of times will instantly know exactly what it is, there are many people that would need to read more into it to see real reference.

Yes it has. I think it was around this time last year. If you look at the artists profile it'll usually have the designs made into tees.

Love the detail work, from the wording to the picture of him doing the lift, and the color scheme works. This is the second shirt I have bought, my first was district 13 mockingjays

Love this! It is the first DD tee I have ever seen that I actually want to buy. Usually they are so cheesy and glittery (yes yes, I know the movie is too...) but this is much more subtle. Really good work, well done! :)

LOVE this shirt, particularly as seeing "Dirty Dancing" in the movie theater with my parents on my 12th birthday is a major good memory from my life.

While not a DD fangirl, I think I love this shirt purely because it's so random and not necessarily geeky - but still very much an easily understood pop/cult culture reference
