nice idea but I fail to see what made this shirt teefury worthy (besides the Who reference). So many other shirts that could have been printed but instead a rather simple uninspired design is chosen just for Who fans to be "ZOMG! Instabuy!"

Hoping for a better tee tomorrow. After a few more art inspired shirts lately...this one is a dud in my opinion and not on par with the quality this site should have.

I'm not a big enough fan of Who to buy this, but I recognized it instantly, it's very clever. It's not the most artistic shirt in the world, because it doesn't need to be. It's simple, it's brilliant, congrats on getting printed. It's very cool!

I thought it would be fun to do a “tuxedo t-shirt” style design inspired by the 11th Doctor. It also makes an easy costume for Doctor Who fans this Halloween.

I really like this shirt, but I have bad memories of shirts like this because when I was in middle school in chorus this was one of my "required uniforms" the day of a performance, and I really didn't like being in chorus in middle school. I will definitely sleep on it, and probably end up buying it in the morning :)
By the way, people who are bashing on the Doctor Who reference, there have honestly not been that many Doctor Who shirts lately... yes there was one about a month ago, but that was a whole month... it probably seems like there are so many of them, because it's a popular thing and there are many prints of it. Honestly, there are as many Doctor Who shirts released as there are shirts that are not. I am a major Doctor Who fan, and it's rather difficult for me to find shirts that have anything to do with the show. I understand that it's not for everyone, but no one else bashes the other shirts, so just stop, and get over it. We are here to comment on the artist's design, not to bash the idea it's based on.

What?! Now, don't get me wrong, I won't argue he's the best Doctor ever, but the man has done an amazing job with the role, especially after following right behind David Tennant. He had some rather large shoes to fill, and he is doing a wonderful job of it.

Yeah, every. single. day. the thread is clogged by comments along the lines of "thank god it's not another Who shirt" until one rolls around and the comments become "Ugh, another Who shirt!" We just went weeks without a Who reference and yet I saw some form of complaint about too many Who shirts in the comments of completely unrelated designs pretty much every day.
There are other fandoms in heavy rotation. There are designs I have absolutely no interest in as well. But the nice thing is that if you aren't pleased with today's choice there will be a new shirt tomorrow!

So essentially what you're saying is that we've had three Doctor Who references in the last twenty-three days? Which is to say, we've only had a Doctor Who reference about once every week since September 12th? :P

I admit I haven't counted farther back, but I feel like we get a Doctor Who shirt once every one to two weeks. I can't say that about any other television series on here.

I also agree with PureInvasion about the design for today. I guess it's kind of fun, but I wouldn't call the concept inspired. I've seen this same thing done for different tv shows quite a few times before.

Not interested. BBC makes ACTUAL costume shirts for every single Doctor. And because they can use as many colors as they want, they're a lot nicer.

I hate to play Devil's Advocate here, but there have been at least 5 Who shirts in the past four months. Possibly more if some were removed from the gallery. Now you may be thinking "That's only 1-2 per month!" But please consider that this site can display a T-shirt about ANYTHING EVER. I know Dr. Who is a big seller on this site, but you simply cannot say that there aren't many Who shirts.

You know how many Scott Pilgrim shirts there were in the past 4 months? Zero. Uncharted shirts? Zero. Pokemon shirts? One. 30 Rock shirts? Zero. The list goes on and on.

1+ shirts a month is MASSIVE for a site like this. Just saying.

This particular shirt is a cute take on an old t-shirt classic, though. It's a notable reference that can still be liked by people who don't get it.

Maybe you didn't catch the other numbers I threw out there for other shirts? All the zeroes and whatnot. No other series has such a ratio of shirts/month, except maybe Firefly. So yes, it is massive. The numbers have my back on this one, and they don't lie!

No, I get it. It's the 11th doctor's garb. Woohoo. It's just a black tux shirt in a different color. There's more creative ways to do this. This is weak. As a fan of Who, you should expect better. I can't see paying 10 bucks plus shipping for a dye-job novelty shirt. I shouldn't have to justify this.

Ive been meaning to upload some to facebook but so far all my Teefury shirt and bow tie pictures have managed to stay on my external... Great Tee by the way but I bought two this week and thats it for me for now.

That's just hilarious reasoning. Yes you're right, TONS shows have 0 shirts printed. Most of these shows don't have a large enough fanbase to sell a reasonable amount of shirts in 24 hours though. Dr Who gets a massive amount of shirts, because there is such a massive fanbase..it's simple.

Could you image the rage if the line-up one week was shirts based on "Grey's Anatomy", "The Event", "The Middle", "Harry's Law", and "Outlaw". Even shows like "Dead Like Me", and "Kings" that were actually good, and do still have fanbases, would not be worth printing shirts for on a website like this.

And if you like numbers, look at all the reality shows we have on TV! They get tons of viewers, and I've NEVER seen a shirt on TeeFury based on those. I want a "The Biggest Apprentice" crossover shirt!

Until Doctor Who stops getting pancakes every single time, Doctor Who shirts will continue to be made. Don't complain to TeeFury for selling them, just wait until you see someone wearing the shirt and berate them for buying it.

I've wanted one of these for ages, but only saw the ones with black and white and knew they wouldn't suit me. But this... this is absolutely perfect!!! I will wear it all year round!

sorry - kind of zzzzzz compared to the usual interesting artwork. I come to this site to get cool shirts I can't get other places. A tuxedo shirt has been around forever.

Obviously people still buy the Doctor Who shirts and artists still like making the shirts, so why wouldn't TeeFury still sell them?

They don't come as often as some people make it seem (I do remember back in March, there were 2 Who shirts only 2 days apart, 3/26 and 3/28 but that is pretty rare, they are usually 3-5 weeks apart)

Sure, they do appear more than any other reference. But there is a reason. The same is true on other T-Shirt sites, where these complaints are common, so they are selling well there too.

I think the 4th and 10th doctors will sell extremely well, but some (6th? and 7th?) may not do so good. Do a google image search for "doctor who tuxedo shirt" and you'll find some other shirts. I might get a 4th and 5th

I don't see why everyone is saying it's too subtle of a reference, or no one would get it. I have never seen Dr. Who and I recognized this right when I saw it.

While bow-ties are in fact cool, this is just...a little TOO subtle. It looks too much like a generic tuxedo shirt. First Who shirt in a long time I've passed on...

I like that it is Doctor Who, I even like the tuxedo-shirt style, but the execution is very poor. There is a licensed version of this exact idea that is a higher quality design.

They make some of the previous Doctor shirts like this on Forbidden Planet. More expensive though. ;)

I absolutely love the concept, but I wish the undershirt section stretched from top to bottom, instead of being cut off on both ends. But I suppose it's this way because of printing requirements.

What?! Now, don't get me wrong, I won't argue he's the best Doctor ever, but the man has done an amazing job with the role, especially after following right behind David Tennant. He had some rather large shoes to fill, and he is doing a wonderful job of it.
