Tell us a bit about this design.
I got inspired when me and my wife where heading to our usual Sushi place. There's a shop next to it where we usually stop to check out their Mario merchandise, but they also have a great collection of Fortune Cats (Maneki Neko). The new Thundercats cartoon was in the works back when I came up with it, so it all came together.
Where are you from?
A city in The Netherlands which has a name for getting worse the closer you get to it, Dordrecht. The actual catchphrase was 'the greener it gets', but apparently that was not what the rest of the county had in mind.
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
That I also run a blog about Gaming, Tee's, Japanese Cars, Sneakers, Collectibles and Prints called Baardei, which roughly translates to Beard Egg in English.
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
That i'm currently working on a design about my favorite 80's movie series, Police Academy. It also features Robocop, so hopefully that makes it a little less embarrassing.
Name a few of your favorite things.
Kinder Suprise Egg's (only for the chocolat!), Sneakers (i've got almost as much shoes as my wife), New York City and Stickers.
What kind of art did you make as a kid?
I was known at school to be drawing all day long. Once we had to show what notes we had made all year in class and the teacher discovered there where no words, only drawings in my note book. I got in trouble...
Which is your favorite cartoon character?
I have a big soft spot for Dick Dastardly and his sidekick Muttley.
The Joker vs. Mum-Ra: which would win the battle?
Heath Ledger's Joker vs Mum-Ra: The Joker. Jack Nicholson's Joker vs Mum-Ra: Mum-Ra. The Joker from the tv series was before my time, so that fight is undecided.
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
Currently it's the 'Dextoon' Tee by Lapuss. I'm a big Dexter fan and can't wait for the new season to start.
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
It seems to be shifting from gaming to reading now I recently hit 30, but I pick movies. It's extremely difficult to pick one, but if you had me at gunpoint I would probably pick The Big Lebowski. I still want to visit Lebowski Fest once and dress up like a The Jesus.
What inspires your work?
80's and 90's Cartoons, Games and Movies.
