About the artist
Tell us a bit about this design.
I came up with an all new concept in t-shirt design. I take two pop culture icons and merge them in a clever way. This is a process I call "jon-planting". In this case, I took Bishop, the wrinkly android from Aliens, and Walter Bishop, the wrinkly scientist from Fringe and jon-planted them together.
Where are you from?
Columbus, Ohio. Voted "Most Sexy City" by Forbes Magazine.
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
I'm a liar. Particular when it comes to Forbes Magazine.
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
Forbes Magazine doesn't even vote on most sexy city. It's mostly about business and finance I guess. I've never actually read it.
Name a few of your favorite things.
Sandwiches, not feeling excruciating pain, the monthly "Fail Compilation" on YouTube... and Forbes Magazine.
What kind of art did you make as a kid?
I pretty much only drew Ewoks until I was 25.
What is your favorite thing about Fringe?
When Olivia was possessed by Leonard Nimoy and the actress did a weird Nimoy voice impression that was totally awful.
The Office vs. Office Space: which would win the battle?
In a Marvel vs. Capcom sort of way? I'd use a Dwight/Meredith/Creed team. Dwight's paintball frenzy is a good counter to Milton's stapler attack. Meredith's STD projectile burns a lot of hyperbar but it's the only way to take down The Bobs. As for Lumbergh's TPS combo? You have to go with Creed's distinct old-man-smell defense.
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
"Best Buddies", the Han/Chewie/Calvin/Hobbes mashup. Chris Wahl is a crazy versatile artist. He jon-planted the hell out of that one.
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
A certain magazine, which will remain nameless, voted "watching movies" as the better option. My favorite title is "Striking Distance" because I'm all like, "Woah. That's an impressive title. I wonder what it's about?"
What inspires your work?
Any shout outs?
To the love of life, my only purpose and eternal obsession. I'd also like to give a shout out to my wife.
