I just wanted to create this design to celebrate quite possibly the greatest entertainer and humanitarian the would has ever known. Even if you're "not a fan" chances are you're probably a fan of someone he inspired. It's just a celebration of his great musical contribution.

How was it not called for? While it may not be to your liking, ultimately it's what he would have liked to see in the design, and thus he's giving feedback. With a person that was so controversial in his later years I think a shirt on a site visited by many opinionated people should expect to have said opinions shared.

The fact is that Michael Jackson is famous for two things (three if you include plastic surgery), and it would be equally unfair to forget about either of them. I don't begrudge the artist for focusing on what's important to him, but I myself would have found the design more interesting if the upper right box contained, say, a small boy's mortified expression instead of an M.

This shirt is not bad, it's great. It's a real thriller. I can't wait to wear it, people won't be able to leave me alone. I love the design, I'd buy it on black or white. What is frustrating to me as a fan of this site (as well as a fan of MJ) is that all of this discussion about his accusations is allowed to continue.
None of this has anything to do with the shirt.
If you like the design, buy it. If you like MJ, buy it. If you think he's a pedophile, don't buy it. That fact can even be articulated w/o being disrespectful.Some of these comments are almost troll like in nature when you know most of his fans will respond emotionally.

By the way, Michael Jackson was acquitted of all charges in both cases, the father in the first case was known to be extremely jealous of Michael's relationship with his family and was recorded in a phone conversation saying that he would get "everything" of Michael's and destroy him. He committed suicide three months after Michael's death. The mother of the second child to be supposedly "molested" turned out to be a sociopathic liar, and neither of her two kids stories matched up with regard to certain crucial details such as where, when, and how the molestations occurred.

I don't have children, but if I did and if Michael Jackson was still alive, then yes. Many sane people who know the FACTS surrounding those two cases brought against him would. From MacCauley Culkin to Elijah Wood and Justin Timberlake, NO ONE of any amount of credibility has come forward since MJ's death and admitted to being molested by him. Culkin even testified for Michael in court. You'd rather believe what the tabloid's have told you for years rather than accept that there's not a shred of evidence against him. Even his kids have nothing to lose by admitted he "touched" them, but no--nothing ever happened!

But to be on topic, I love this shirt and its an instant buy!

I have to say, (and it appears that I'll be the first), Kudos to Winter for having the cojones to submit a design like this, and even more to stand by it when the inevitable criticism appears. I would have bought any of the side arts pics, but I can't bring myself to buy anything that would promote Mr. Jackson in any way. Seriously, the Game of Thrones sideart needs to be done, possibly one a week so you don't inundate the group. That Nirvana idea is much better than the infamous 'lead poisoning' pic that went around.

It's a crest. Most, if not all, crests contain a "ribbon" or "scroll" containing some sort of text. In this case, I think it's well done and not excessive. As someone who gets criticized for his "overuse" of the ribbon/scroll element, this is a lot less obtrusive than the manner in which I employ it. I'm not an MJ fan, but I can appreciate the awesome art...

As often as people post here saying, "Not to my taste but if it had ______ in it, I'd buy it." you have to ask this? Really nice design, snagged three of them. Just one thing, I would rather have lost the hat and put a "J" in the crest so we could have "M J" in there. Still awesome though.
