Its a cool design, but I don't know if it looks right on a shirt... in any case, I think he submitted (or TeeFury accepted) the wrong design, his sideart is fabulous, and I would buy almost any of those designs in shirt form (except Amazing Space Opera, too much of the comic book cover stylings (like this one) for my taste)

LOVE it! I loved watching both Tales from the Crypt and Twilight Zone in the wee hours of the morning! I wish I had the money to buy it. :(

I also really love the Space Opera and Scream sideart! I would jump on those like a lion pouncing on a gazelle.

I like the idea of mixing the two, and the core design and coloring is great... but the content execution puzzles me.

Neither EC comics, nor Rod Serling ever gave out the final 'twist' in the opening (which the cover of a comic would be). This gives out the final 'gotcha' from 'Eye of the Beholder' as the first thing anyone would see. It seems like the same thing as if Citizen Kane started with Kane dying and saying, "Rosebud: my dear sled and only friend! {*thump*}"

But congrats on getting picked. Possibly it would have to be too far of a 'geek insider' thing to have a build-up story item as the core cover picture and still have this work for a large number of people.

I don't think this would be considered a spoiler. This was not the dramatic conclusion of the episode. It was merely the point about mid-way through where things stopped being a normal hospital episode and definitely fell into the "TZ" arena. There was a more subtle, yet more meaningful twist at the end.

Either way, I love the comic book cover style shirts, when done well. I am getting this one and would love the Space Opera shirt, too.

My mom loves Twilight Zone, definitely getting this for her as a Xmas present. Gotta say, love Doctor Who but agree that there's been far too many lately. Twilight Zone is a nice rare one that there should be more of. Let's see more Arrested Development or Community tees!

I would buy if not for the 3 smaller images on the side of the design. Rod Serling wasn't a "creepy narrator" he was an everyman simply relaying a story. That's what gave his intros such impact and why the remake series' come off as hokey.

I love the concept and design, but I think that the episode that is being depicted, although I know it's considered a classic, is one of the most overrated. If it were any other episode I might have gotten it. Also, please print Awesom-O. That is honestly one of my all time favorite episodes of South Park.

I always liked horror movie anthologies and anthologies in general that dealt with the weird. My co-writer, Mark Pellegrini, came up with a funny idea for a "Tales from the Crypt" shirt, while at the same time I was entertaining a "Twilight Zone" idea. We ended up mashing the two together, and he helped me out on design choices.

Where are you from?

Little Rock, Arkansas.

Which art style would you most like to learn?

I wish I could do speed painting, and more realistic painting in general. I reached a certain threshold some years ago and found a "limit" that I can't seem to pass. If I could draw faster PERIOD, I would be pleased!

If you had a time machine, which era would you visit first?

Probably the 20's. I really love vintage art and the whole retro style of the times. Life was very different back then, too.

What goal do you most aspire towards?

Be more clever, work faster, and sell harder. I guess that's 3 goals...

If you could stop any t-shirt trend in its tracks, which would you end? What trend would you like to see started?

People are going to hate me for this, but Dr. Who. My Achilles Heel is that I can't draw anything that I don't have a vested interest in, no matter how much is at stake... and since I have no real fondness for the Doctor, that's a lucrative market that I can't break! I'd love to see more love for the Twilight Zone, as I think it's a more household name franchise that gets overlooked.

Would you rather star in a comic book or a movie?

Movie.

Cereal vs. pastries: which would win the battle?

Depends. Is Cap'n Crunch leading the battle? If so, then they win.

Describe the first shirt you ever designed.

It was our high school homecoming shirt, back in 1999... since it was around Halloween, I drew our principal as a zombie bursting out of the ground, trying to devour a student. I still own that shirt to this day.

What has been your most inspiring art experience?

For drawing, it would have to be when I first got exposed to Joe Madureira in the mid 90's. I emulated his style and learned to self-teach, and I still list him as being perhaps my greatest influence. But overall, I would say it is my gradual exposure to vintage styles and streamlining -- it's helped me tremendously in everything I've done over the last few years.
