His coat of arms is interactive in the old PC game. You need it to sneeze out the fire if you drop the torch in his tent. I recognized what this was going for with the title as a clue, but by itself, I'm just not sure it would hold a lot of meaning for casual observers.
like the reference, just don't think it's strong enough for a shirt.
Maybe if the whole shirt was black armour and you could see the red bits of blood where his arms use to be then people would get it.
I thought at first it might be a Richard III reference (Ian McKellen as Richard III is such a brilliant movie)... then I read the "tell us about..." still pretty cool... what do the "letters" mean?

I'm a huge Monty Python fan, but I'm a little confused as to why it says "убийца"--to my knowledge that means something like a female murderer in Russian. Or am I missing something?

it means "Killer"
It's Russian. It doesn't exactly mean killer, but that is the gist of it. FYI, I'm assuming the artist used an online translating site because he used the feminine style of the word.

Убийца can denote both male and female killer/murderer and has nothing to do with «lady killer» as «seducer» (you better use something like серцеед for that).

Greetings from Russia.
Thanks a lot for that explanation, bro! I really did it in a translator.

ACTUALLY...
"убийца" is a gender-neutral word for "killer" in Russian. It applies equally to killers of male or female persuasion.
Actually, it's a bit more grim than "killer", in the sense of "killer" being a possible term of endearment in English, while "убийца" has no such connotation. It does not quite imply the premeditation of a "murderer", or the state or a group endorsement given to an an "executioner". Instead, it just means a person who kills other people. Literally, and not figuratively. :)
ALL THAT SAID.... the lettering is a mess, to the point of looking like mixed case. The "и" and "й" are supposed to have same height bodies. The "ц" extends below the line, whereas the "б" has to be as high as a capital letter (instead of being the same height as the "и", which makes the "и" seem like it's capitalized.
Being a native Russian speaker, I love finding Russian language shirts on shirt-a-day sites, but this one is... iffy.
Wow, talk about attention to detail!! I, too, have never paid such close attention to his crest... This might have to become part of my ultra-geeky shirt collection... :D

It's a unisex word, it can be a guy who is убийца or a girl. Im Russian, trust me. it means just that: killer, no slang implied. Killer in a full sense of the word.
I actually find it very refreshing to see a subtle reference on a tee. Some are too spelled out for what the reference is, and a perfectly good shirt is ruined by being too busy. Cheers to the artist!
Like the design, except the Russian "killed" it for me. No reason for that to be on there. I agree shirts like this that are subtle are great, and a welcome change from all the pointelss "MashedPotatoes" , but I don't want to have to explain why there's Russian on it.

after some thought... i've decided i wish i could buy this and feel like i would wear it. as i have bought every other python / holly grail reference shirt on here and other sites... cuz it's a great reference to a great plot point in a great movie... but it's not a great design for a shirt... similar to another poster, i guess i wish it was on a black shirt, and or, had some other metal stylings around it, to give it a sort of "armor'ed" look about it.
but it is a solid effort and congrats and best wishes to the artist!
Cool design, but I'm rather confused as to why the text is in russian. Like, i guess lady killer is a cute play on words, but it kind of doesn't fit the movie at all.
Done! Sold! I have been avoiding buying your tees lately, but this struck me in the center of my very old nerd heart. All you young people who have not seen this film are lesser people until you do so. Also, if the artist used the feminine style of the word, even better!

never have you lived, my friend.
indeed! Go now and buy, steal, borrow, netflix... something! get the tv series and watch ALL of them. Then watch the movies in order. Life will almost make sense then...
but, you'll still wonder why not enough people wear hats.
okelnard said: I thought at first it might be a Richard III reference (Ian McKellen as Richard III is such a brilliant movie)... then I read the "tell us about..." still pretty cool... what do the "letters" mean?
it means "Killer"
It specifically means assassin, murderer or murderess. It fills both feminine and masculine roles in Russian, while in Bulgarian it's only feminine and thus means only murderess, etc.
I'm a Russian major, I bought this in an INSTANT! Awesome design, yes it is subtle, but subtle can be good! Thanks TeeFury for printing Russian related things! I'll buy every time.
"убийца" means killer/murderer. There is no "female" version of the word. It is the same for both males and females. How do I know? I'm a native speaker.
I was watching the "black knight" scene from "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" movie.
The Black knight wears a profiled red hog in his chest.
I tried to do something like a strong beer label. A beer for knights.
What is your most unexpected or exciting memory?
Maybe the fact i've learn to wheelie my bike at 28 years old. hahah
Some moments of my life popped in my mind when i read this question:
A sea dive under a boat among colorful fishes.
A travel i did by bike to the Santiago's way in Spain in 2002. Travelling by bike you have a perfect timing to see and feel the differences between cities, people, food , etc.
If you could make anyone besides yourself Ruler of the Universe, who would you choose and why?
My mother.
If i couldn't rule the world, maybe mom could give me Disneyland. With zombified characters.
Do you have any surprising talents or hobbies?
Sure! I can clip the center of a toothpick at my nose tip and roll it like an airplane helix. I did a lot of friends with this trick.
I don't have hobbies. All my hobbies happens to turned to my real work.
Do you prefer art or music?
I work with both and love both too much. But if i really need to choose just one of them i think i pick art.
Zombies vs. mutants: which would win the battle?
The only mutants that could kill a zombie riot is the X-men.
Describe your ideal day.
A day with some work, some good company, some videogame, some music and maybe some beer at the end.
I love to bicycling to see the sunset as well.
Any shout outs?
As usual, i thank you teefury staff. You're great people.
