About the artist
Malcassairo
Tell us a bit about this design.
My design features two different versions of the Sonic Screwdriver from Doctor Who. The Eleventh Doctor’s - with the green light, and River Song’s Sonic - the blue light. The two are spiraling around each other, creating the time vortex through which you can see the TARDIS. The design also refers to the complex and spiraling relationship between River and The Doctor.
Where are you from?
The beautiful land of New Zealand, also known as Middle Earth.
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
I’m a third year design student at university, one more year after this and I’ll be out there in the industry!
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
That I spend most of my time at home in my pj’s.
Name a few of your favorite things.
Doctor Who (naturally), Torchwood, Minecraft, Cooking, Sculpture, Photography, Unicorns...way too many things to keep listing!
What kind of art did you make as a kid?
My earliest memories of drawing were pictures of my Jack Russell Terrier, Sparky. I was always drawing pictures of him at any opportunity. I also drew a lot of horses, and at primary school Pokemon filled my sketchbooks.
What is your favorite thing about outer space?
I love looking at NASA images of the stars, nebula and galaxies, but I think what I love most about space is how little we know about it.
Horses vs. unicorns: which would win the battle?
Definitely unicorns. Can you imagine a unicorn not winning against a horse? They’re badass! Those horns aren’t for decoration, you know.
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
My fluorescent lime green top. I love bright colours, and I love the colour green, so it was instant love when I saw the shirt. Plus it goes well with both formal and casual attire.
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
I really like reading books. I love stimulating my imagination, and the best way to do that is through reading. Reading also helps inspire me to create artwork. My current favourite book is Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
What inspires your work?
I find nature to be very inspiring to all the artwork that I do. Also, listening to orchestral and classical music helps get my creative boogie on.
Any shout outs?

(By the way, I LOVE the Dalek snowman sideart! If you were to put it on a good shirt color (read as: not white, not white!!!) then it would be an INSTABUY for me!)
