About the artist
Tell us a bit about this design.
While I was playing the Gears of War 3 Beta, I got inspired to create a design about the game! I decided to incorporate my two favorite weapons (Lancer and Shotty) and also try to fit in a gear and a skull in there since the logo of the game is, well, a gear and a skull! lol
I thought a tattoo looking design would fit the design, since I wanted to add a scroll with the games tag line! I'm very excited to be finally featured on Teefury! And I hope you all like it! :D
Where are you from?
I was born in Puerto Rico, but raised in the Bronx,NY! I'm currently in Tampa, FL and it's rainy, hot and humid down here at the moment...bleh! :[
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
I want them to know that for a long time I was unsure of my art. I always thought my art sucked and I still do sometimes! lol While going through art school, I used to see other peoples work and think to myself, "Why can't I be as good as them? :[ " As I got older and wiser, I realized that my art is MY art and the only thing I could do is get better at it, even if it's not as good at other people's stuff.
So...if you're an artist that thinks the way I did, just sit down and start drawing, writing, painting etc. The more you do silly doodles, the more you perfect your style! :D
Oh and follow me on Tumblr! LOL! http://bamboota.tumblr.com/
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
That I'm super afraid of Chucky from Child's Play!!! No Joke! My friends think I'm a n00b being scared of him! lol Don't judge me!!! >:O
Name a few of your favorite things.
- Double Fudge Brownies
- Adventure Time
- The 80's
- Talking in a British Accent
- My lil pug puppy Naboo! ^_^
- Cuss Words
- Not Nic Cage.
What kind of art did you make as a kid?
I used to draw my own characters a lot. I had this one character named Afro Man! He was a vigilante dressed in 70's disco cloths and his weapon was a hair pick! Yeah...I was a weird kid! lol
What is your favorite thing about Gears of War?
Oh man! Gears of War is bad to the bone!! I love the look and feel of the game as well as the Campaign story! The character models are bad ass too! They're all so bulky and grungy! I also love PWNing n00bs with head shots online! HAH!!
Jedi vs. dalek: which would win the battle?
A Dalek would destroy a Jedi....but it has no power against a Sith! Darkside FTW! Bwahahahah! >:)
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
I got a ton of shirts that I wear here and there, BUT...I only use my Boba Fett Bounty Hunter by Beastpop on special occasions! The illustration and printing of the shirt are sooo amazing! I <3 Beastpop! ^_^
Here's the shirt: http://tinyurl.com/BeastWreck
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
Although I think all of these inspire each other in someways, I think movies are the most influential in society. I get a lot of ideas from watching films, and also they're fun to watch too! Video games are also awesome! Reading can get boring sometimes, especially when there's no pictures! lol
My favorite movie is Coming to America! I know that movie by heart! What ever happened to Eddie Murphy!? *sigh*
What inspires your work?
Looking at other peoples art! I get inspired by studying the colors they use, their techniques, their ideas, etc! It makes me wanna get better at my own stuff!
I have tons of artist I find inspiration by...some are Winter Artwork (http://winterartwork.tumblr.com/), Pertheseus (http://pertheseus.deviantart.com/gallery/), Mike Mitchell (http://sirmitchell.tumblr.com/), Zomieyeti (http://zombieyeti.com/blog/), Captain Ribman (http://captainribman.com/)...amongst a whole lot more! lol
Any shout outs?
I'd like to give a shot'out to my homies at the RBC (http://the-rbc.tumblr.com/), Shirtoid.com, The Sideshow Freaks, Cliffy B (the creator of Gears), Bunnah, Karma, Dee and Chaser! :D
I also want to thank the people at Teefury for finally picking one of my designs! It's been a true goal of mine to be on your site! Hopefully it won't be the last time! YAY!
