About the artist
Tell us a bit about this design.
I have had a print of Alphonse Mucha's "La Dame Aux Camelias" hanging over my desk for a long time, and it always reminded me of Princess Leia. Leia is tough and strong in the movies, but I wanted to show a quiet moment.
Where are you from?
Swampscott, Massachusetts (where Carol Brady is from)
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
This is my first time on TeeFury! I just started designing shirts a few months ago and now I am hooked.
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
That when I found out I was getting a print on TF, I ran around the house, yelling and waving my arms like I was a crazed Muppet.
Name a few of your favorite things.
coffee, the Harry Potter books, 2B pencils, coffee, cadbury mini eggs, Resident Evil 4 for the Wii, coffee
What kind of art did you make as a kid?
lots of drawings of the Little Mermaid
What is your favorite thing about Star Wars?
Really, any moment that Han Solo is on the screen.
Steampunk vs. art deco: which would win the battle?
errr...Steampunk? Because there are guns?
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
It's actually not mine, it's my husband's. It's a Matrix shirt, white type on black that says "Follow the white rabbit". On the left shoulder blade is the white rabbit tattoo....love a nice subtle reference that isn't immediately obvious.
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
That would be like choosing between my children, that's a Sophie's Choice question, no way I am answering that.
So, I guess playing Mario Kart Wii while reading HP7 and watching Serenity....
What inspires your work?
Other artists are a big inspiration. Alphonse Mucha, Glen Keane, Audrey Kawasaki, and Charles Dana Gibson are some of my favorites.
Any shout outs?
My husband Matt, and my sons Ryan and James...they put up with me being at my desk constantly. My RBC group, for the constant inspiration and support. And my fans and friends on my Facebook Art page, who are also wonderful.
