About the artist
Tell us about this design.
A tribute to the John Carpenter/Kurt Russell cult classic Big Trouble in Little China.
Where are you from?
The Triangle area of North Carolina.
How would you describe your style?
I think my style changes a bit from design to design. I try to do whatever I think best fits the subject. All in all though, it tends to be a little grungy and full of puns.
If you could collaborate with anyone, who would you pick?
Anyone? ANYONE?? Jeez that's tough. There are a lot of great artists out there right now... I've been especially drooling over some of the posters coming out of Mondo lately... I think Ken Taylor is the artist I'm most stuck on right now.
What historical figure do you most admire?
Mark Twain. The man was an unabashed genius.
If you weren't designing shirts, what would you be doing?
Well, my day job is web design, so when I'm not doing shirts I'm doing that. Or I'd be using my mad gymkata skills to thwart drug rings and bank heists and mole people invasions.
Would you rather eat something gross or be the one who cooks it?
I like to cook AND I like to watch people squirm, so I'll take door number 2.
Snow vs. sand: which would win the battle?
That is the weirdest thing I've ever read. Sand I guess? Snow melts. And if you get drunk in the snow you might freeze to death. Get drunk at the beach you'll probably just get sun burnt.
What is your favorite t-shirt color?
90% of the shirts I own are black.
What has been your favorite vacation or travel experience?
My wife and I spent a week in Portland, OR recently and had a BLAST. Lots of great people and food, and so many great local breweries. Most laid back place ever. I totally want to relocate out there eventually.
Any shout outs?
Big thanks to @Shirtoid and the RB crew. Also, I'd like to plug a new site I've been tinkering with, www.ahhhdesigns.com
