Teefury

I'm a huge fan of Joss Whedon in general and Buffy in particular. I've wanted to come up with a Buffy the vampire slayer themed shirt for a long time. The standard Buffy shirts are just to in-your-face, without any of the insider nods that makes a fan shirt really cool. I tried to work all kinds of little things into the heraldry style crest of the 'Watchers’ Council' (Ex: Mr. Pointy). The show establishes that at its peak the Council was a large organization and even had a Special-Ops team. So I thought about it in terms of a law enforcement style shirt, if you were working for the Council. After that I just figured where I'd want to be assigned...

I've been a designer for 10 years. Working for Ad agencies, publishers etc... But I started with Tee-shirt's when I was buying a shirt on Teefury and realized you could submit designs. I said to myself 'hey I have some ideas...'

 

So often you spend your time as a designer working to please other people. When you have an opportunity to work on something like a prospective shirt design, don’t think about other people, and design what you'd like to see for a change.

Bat'leth's versus Bowcasters? I see it playing out like this; when the Federation's friendly overtures result in nothing but getting there diplomats force choked by Darth Vader, all out war follows. The Klingons are the last to fall, but even they succumb under the weight of endless Droids and Clones. The Empire's expansion is halted when they confront the Borg menace. After generations of oppression eventually the Galactic Empire is overthrown and replaced with the Terran Empire, Mirror universe style, by the dashing Emperor Kirk.

As a kid, and as an adult I still love cartoons. G. I. Joe, He-Man and the Master's of the Universe, Thundercats, Saber Riders, Silver Hawks, Inhumanoids...
