Tell us a bit about this design.
I have always liked reinterpreting known characters and evoking feelings when someone sees my designs. I thought it would be funny to see this well-known potato in a botany diagram :)
Where are you from?
I’m from Mexico and I really enjoy spicy food! But for 3 years now I've had a little design studio in Washington, DC.
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
Guys, I make some perfect enchiladas! You should try them!
Also, it would be nice if you followed me on Facebook. I have a lot of goodies for my pals!
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
I really don't know much about good tequila :(
Name a few of your favorite things.
My favorite dish is enchiladas verdes and my favorite drink is rum and Coke (I know I should say tequila, but that’s number two). I think one of the things I miss most about my country is the food.
What kind of art did you make as a kid?
I think I’ve liked drawing ever since I was a little kid. My favorite thing to draw was dogs and spaceships or dogs IN spaceships.
What is your favorite thing about Spring?
Out with the cold, in with the woo-hoo!

Ouch! That’s too difficult. I love so many of them.
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
Watching movies! I love action and suspense - I would choose Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, or Scarface. Wait...I love Face-Off, too :)
What inspires your work?
I don’t know! I drink a lot of coffee and eat a lot of Mexican food, and I always carry my sketchbook and pencil everywhere with me, even next to my bed. I am always trying to sketch whatever idea comes to my mind, and there’s always a lot of material with which to begin a new illustration.
