Where are you from?
I hail from all over the American South, but call North Carolina home.
How did you get started designing t-shirts?
I started back in high school, while working part-time at a screen printing shop. I already had ideas I wanted made, and was looking for an "in" into the design industry. I started out cleaning screens and printing shirts after school, and sometimes printing my own shirts after-hours.
What advice would you offer to aspiring designers?
Don't wait for the perfect opportunity to come along to start getting your work out there. Come to think of it, it's probably advice I should take as well.
What would be your dream job?
I'm already kind of doing it - working as a graphic designer and webmaster by day, and making fun illustrations and designs like this at night. If I could do the fun stuff full-time, that might be even better, but I'd hate for it to start to feel like Real Serious Work.
What is your favorite thing about horror?
I'm a big fan of monsters, aliens, etc, so anything involving them immediately has my attention. I also love creepy things, especially in H.P. Lovecraft's work. While it can be very pulp, it still manages to come off as really spooky and unnerving more than outright scary. That's my favorite kind of horror; the subtle kind that builds on you.
What would your ideal house be like?
I love "historical district" style homes, especially the ones in small towns all over the South. If I owned one, however, I would definitely refurbish a lot of the infrastructure to be more energy-efficient and modern.
Death vs. taxes: which would win the battle?
Death, hands down. Taxes can be avoided for a while and plenty of people die owing money, but no one cheats death.
What was your favorite as a kid: comics, cartoons, or movies? Was there a specific title you liked most of all?
I was such a cartoon nut as a kid. Probably my favorite show from childhood was Dino-Riders. Does anybody even remember those? They had the best action figures...and dinosaurs with lasers! How can you possibly beat that?
What are a few of your favorite websites?
Currently, I spend way too much time on Tumblr [http://edmangoodrich.com/]. Some of my favorite Tumblrs, at least for art, are the ones forDrawn [http://blog.drawn.ca/], Geek-Art [http://geek-art.tumblr.com/], and We Love Illustration [http://weloveillustration.tumblr.com/]. Outside of that, I'm usually lurking on a variety of news blogs, or randomly looking things up on Wikipedia.
Any shout outs?
I'd like to thank Sender LLC out in Chicago for designing the original Obama logo. Without that, there wouldn't be nearly as great of a parody.

Your sideart, artist, is interestingly different. Keep up the good work.
