It Is What It Is
About the artistArt curated by
Tell us a bit about this design.
It Is What It Is is your classic no-nonsense hand-drawn type tee.
Where are you from?
I currently reside in Rensselaer, NY with my wife, son and pug
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
I love french toast, canadian bacon and turkey sandwiches.I guess you could say that I'm a man with international taste.
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
I have never seen an episode of Dr. Who. There, I said it! Don't hate me!
Name a few of your favorite things.
My wife's laugh, my son's wild hair, a kick-ass cup of coffee and guitars.
What kind of art did you make as a kid?
A little bit of everything. Doodles, weird watercolors, collages, etc. I really got into drawing by watching The Secret City Adventures with Commander Mark. Ah, fun times!
What is your favorite thing about sandwiches?
The pen vs. the sword: which would win the battle?
I have go with the pen on this one. It has the ability to draw a tank which would completely obliterate the sword.
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
Forgive my self-serving response, but my Beards Are Awesome shirt is my current favorite. Where else can you find Mr. T hanging out with Shakespeare and Lemmy from Motörhead? As a proud beard supporter, it's mandatory weekly selection.
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
Tough call but I have to go with movies. I have a lot of favorite flicks but I'll give the top spot to PCU. Classic film with tons of quotable lines.
What inspires your work?
Like my answer to the sandwich question - everything. Pop culture happenings, my natural surroundings, other artists' work and style, etc. I try to soak in as much stuff as possible and then pray like hell for that light bulb to turn itself on.
Any shout outs?
I'll refraining from shouting but in a reasonable speaking volume, I would like to thank everyone here at TeeFury, all of my interwebz supporters, my friends and my family. Designing tees is pretty fun but it's even more so when an army of folks support the endeavor. Cheers!
