Tell us about this design.
This illustration depicts the true story of Dino-Atsuko, a feudal Japanese dinosaur who rose to power by the might of steel. In this particular image, Dino-Atsuko dispatches with his enemy, Busu Baka, with the descending arch of his blade. So began the Age of Crux as the Shogun Atsuko bent the Kingdom of Saurus to his iron will. True story, look it up.
Where are you from?
It doesn't exist anymore.
How would you describe your style?
I thought I was on to something, but naw. I pretty much change my style willy nilly.
If you could collaborate with anyone, who would you pick?
I'd love to work with Dan James, aka "Ghostshrimp". Actually, Ghostshrimp is an illustration company, apparently headed by Dan, that makes the backgrounds for the amazing show, 'Adventure Time', which I watch religiously. His world creation is the stuff of dreams and really nails the boyhood wonderworld feel. Ghostshrimp also seems to be the name of his/their private woodland sanctuary which is pretty marvelous too. Google 'Dan James Ghostshrimp' to get a deeper insight into this interesting person and his/their artwork. It's algebraic!

What historical figure do you most admire?
I have to say, I do admire Doctor Khan Fivepennies, inventor of twang.
If you weren't designing shirts, what would you be doing?
I would probably be a zen monk or a hobo.
Would you rather fight a T-Rex or a samurai?
T-Rex has a brain the size of a walnut, right? At least that's what they say. I think I could outwit a T-Rex much easier than a true Samurai. But that would mean either I've gone back in time or a T-Rex was deposited here in my time. Gods, what insanity are you planning? What means do you have to do such things?!

What is your favorite t-shirt color?
Gray. No, no - Brown.
What has been your favorite vacation or travel experience?
Out of the year or so I lived in Seattle, there's a few special days that really stand out. But that's not a vacation, so... Way back when, I did some hitch hiking in Canada. It was a mild, cool summer. Ended up in a town called Vale. It was pretty spectacular. Met up with a native indian and shared dandelion wine. No kidding.
