Way too excited about this one. It's great to be able get a hold on a shirt for my girlfriend that has her girl-crush on it. I'm a big fan as well.
It's nice to see something that is completely different and a little unlikely for a change. You can go anywhere for Dr. Who, Mario, Star Wars, etc. shirts. And I'm a fan of those things. But I've seen/own shirts on here like Donnie Darko/Portal and Trip to the Moon, and it's stuff like that I love. Enough of my soapboxing.

Yay! I love the design and the reference. (I'm a big fan of "Yes Man," Zooey Deschanel and her music.) I'm definitely picking it up but I had to think about it for a while because of this reason:

That was one of my first thoughts when I saw the shirt but once I thought about it for a bit I realized the awesomeness of the shirt will conquer all. Men wear pink dress shirts to work all the time. If that's cool then, then a cyan t-shirt is A-OK.

Woulda been an insta-buy a while back until I learned Zooey Deschanel is more like Zooey Doucheanal. Saw her band play at SXSW and she had the lights off to avoid pictures, was trying to get ppl kicked out for it AND came on an hour late. Total bag of smurf for a cutie I used to really like.

I still listen to the Munchausen By Proxy songs from Yes Man quite often, they're actually really good songs, and everyone loves a bit of Zooey don't they?

Where are you from?

A small town in England where people look at you funny if you're reading a book on a train.

How did you get started designing t-shirts?

When I was a kid I used to always draw ideas for football (soccer) kits, I even sent some off to Adidas and Nike etc. Sadly they all wrote back saying they didn't employ 10 years olds (which to be honest is kind of ironic) but to keep up the good work.

So I kept on coming up with ideas for tees, but I was never really confident enough to start selling them. Then Jimiyo asked me to submit one of my Quoteskine designs to teefury and things went from there. Now I've got a tee range coming out very soon with an English company called 8ball which will include all my old teefury designs as well as some new ones.

What advice would you offer to aspiring designers?

Don't leave your ideas sitting as scribbles on a piece of paper. If you don't do it, you can guarantee someone else will.

What would be your dream job?

I'm working freelance these days, which is pretty much where I always wanted to be. But I guess I have the same dream as a lot of creative people. To do as many creative projects in as many different areas of art and design as possible. I really admire artists like Miranda July and Mike Mills who have produced amazing work in all different fields. So to get even close to 5% of what they've achieved would be awesome.

What is your favorite thing about quotes?

Well the most obvious thing I love about them is that they give me so many ideas for my work.

But I really like how they capture a specific moment, idea, thought or feeling with just a few words. One of my favourite (and one of the most relevant to my work) quotes is… "I quote others only to better express myself." Michel De Montaigne

What would your ideal house be like?

A huge tree house by a beach with a crazy golf course, a ball pit and at least one Ghostbusters pole.

Pencil vs. marker: which would win the battle?

I have no idea why but I think a marker would kick a pencil's ass.

What was your favorite as a kid: comics, cartoons, or movies? Was there a specific title you liked most of all?

It's a tough choice between cartoons and movies. But I think Thundercats, Dungeons & Dragons, Transformers, Centurions, M.A.S.K, Turtles, Real Ghostbusters and many more mean that cartoons win.

What are a few of your favorite websites?

I have a love/hate thing going on with all the usual websites that waste everyone's time and I really enjoy looking at artist/designer's portfolio websites.
