This design was a lot of fun and is still ranks in my top 10 favorites that I have designed. Its simple, bold, eye catching, and very rarely can someone see it and not laugh. Its just plain fashionable entertainment lol!
Where are you from?
Tulsa, OK
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
Cosmic City is the result of a chance meeting in Tulsa, OK between Eddie Turner, Aaron Bossig, and Garrett Wang at TrekExpo 2010. The trio decided to pool their respective talents into a company that produces high-quality products for sci-fi enthusiasts. Cosmic City prides itself on being a line of collectibles for fans, by fans. We don't make anything we wouldn't want to wear ourselves. We love what we do!
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
We were going to give out a free Ewok with every shirt, but someone forgot to poke air holes in the boxes.
What is your favorite thing about Star Trek?
The Star Trek universe keeps going, across different quadrants, centuries, galaxies, and timelines. The Star Trek Universe literally is as big as the viewer's imagination wants it to be. That's what true science fiction is-- limited only by your imagination.
Also, there was that episode where Dr. Crusher was turned into a dog. That was funny.
Logical vs. imaginative: which would win the battle?
I think Spock and Data were humbled a few times when human intuition and irrationality would win the day over cold, hard logic. Logic is the beginning of wisdom, not the end. Even in the world of science, there is artistry, and one can't truly master it until one can think outside the box and create.
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
All three have their place. There's a reason video games never replaces movies, and movies haven't replaced books. They stimulate different parts of the imagination, and enjoying all three is a very rich experience.
That said; try reading "The Eugenics Wars" by Greg Cox. If you're a Star Trek fan and you haven't read it, you deserve to be turned into a dog.
What inspires your work?
We're tired of sci-fi wear being something that brands us as being social misfits. Cosmic City thinks, hey, we love Star Trek, and Star Wars, Ghostbusters, Comic Books... and we want to wear something that shows our enthusiasm. Why not look good at the same time?
