I guess some people call ATMs a "MAC" like some say soda vs sodey(pop) vs pop? or it's a local brand name kinda thing, like that "dump your ton of change here to get paper money" thingamabob. (no clue, only local store I know that has it I rarely go into.)

In the North East section of the USA (Philly, PA area) MAC stands for MONEY ACCESS CARD this "I'm a MAC" means I am made of money!

I totally agree with you that the navy blue is a better shirt color, I just think that it takes away from the design. Having owned one of those first MAC cards however, I know that they were royal blue. It's a shame because the artist got everything else right with the logo.

I totally agree with you that the navy blue is a better shirt color, I just think that it takes away from the design. Having owned one of those first MAC cards however, I know that they were royal blue. It's a shame because the artist got everything else right with the logo.

The original blue was the correct color, I'm his roomate and he just showed me the original, I guess Teefury changed it to the background shirt color to limit the number of colors printed. So the blame is not on the artist here.

Nerf Herder shirt, NOW!

I typically try not to be one of those people who only cries for the sideart, but I love the nerfherder sideart. So subtle, it took me a moment to get it. This Mac design through me for a second too. Definitely a o.O moment. Very clever, keep up the good work!

Pretty sure that calling an ATM a "MAC machine" is an east coast thing. Here in the midwest our machines were called Cash Stations. Bet the shirts sell better on the eastern seaboard, LOL.

As a graphic designer I despise Apple products as much as I do Papyrus and Comic Sans. Okay maybe thats going a bit far but they are soooooo overrated.

Other than the fact that Money Access Center has the same abbreviation as Macintosh computers, I fail to see how the two are connected at all

Just a sign of effective advertising. Tap MAC was another one of their catch phrases.

MAC was so dominate in the cash machine business in the north east that they got sued for anti-trust violations. I think you still even saw the MAC logo on gas pumps that take bank cards until very recently.

The design is pretty cool, but a bit simple, given what it's representing. If I could think of one thing that would make it more interesting commercially, I'd suggest putting the same words in this design above, below, or on the monitor of one of the extremely old Mac computers. Otherwise, it's a really cool piece of art. Keep up the good work!

A looooong time ago, before the Mac logos were white apples, the apple was always rainbow. All the stickers they gave out with the computers were also rainbow colored. I think that might have been in the late 90s/early 00s.

It's just a bit too simple... I'm a bit tired of teefury just doing such basic t-shirt designs. Just having a good idea doesn't automatically mean it should get printed. This could get printed on any old site, at least in my opinion. As nicely as possible, can I say: Teefury, have better standards!

It's the old Macintosh Apple Logo colouration. It was still an apple with a bit out of it, only the apple was rainbow. We still have an old mouse pad lurking around our house somewhere.

Also if I recall correctly the money access center, or the MAC in question here, logo is a rainbow running into the M. But we don't have MAC machines around here any more so...

From what I gather MAC is only known within a small region of the eastern US.....so I think you can forgive us people in foreign countries for being so ignorant.

Yeah, I wouldn't expect some weird Australian slang term printed on a T-Shirt to get mad props about how clever it is from all comers.

Now that it's been explained, it's clever. But a very niche design that will appeal to a small proportion of teefurians. A lot of the sideart is a lot less niche, and equally clever, which makes me hope I can buy the artist's next printed tee (VATS or Nerf Herder would be instabuys)
