When I was a kid I remember the mazes where you would have to help a puppy find his bone or kitty cat find a mouse with that being the title of the maze. Now as an adult I work in an office building among the rows and floors of cubicles. Every day its me going through the maze of cubicles trying to finding my way to my desk. Ironic? It was only fitting to create a design for the poster boy of every down-trodden office worker and his quest for his stapler. Help Milton Find His Stapler.

I have this webcomic. It's called bloodhound. I had been working it for 5-6 years. I drew it, colored it, wrote it, and lettered it. It soon became apparent that doing it on my own was going to be a life long effort and I needed help. Help which was not immediately available to get this comic off the ground. My wife had seen several sites online where artists had been submitting designs and making money. At this time my wife had also lost her job and I was the only bread-winner and we had one daughter and another child on the way... well, you can figure it out from there. The kids got to eat. So I started subbing my designs to different sites trying to make ends meet.

That's a weird question for me because I see myself still as an aspiring artist. I am still trying to find my voice.  My style varies greatly so I'm not one those guys where you can pin point that's a "midgerock" design. I guess if there was any advice it would be figure out why you are doing what you're doing.  Be honest with yourself. If you are designing for fun, that's cool but what's driving you because "for fun" soon fades in time.

paid for. simple with enough room for my family to live comfortably... oh my wife would kill me if I didn't mention a huge walk in closet one for her shoes and one for her clothes. 

I'd rather draw than read.  I have never been a spectator. I don't follow sports. I would rather be playing football or basketball than sitting there watching.  Same with creating comics. I have tons of stories and ideas (but doesn't everybody!) that I would loved to see the light of day. If I had time as in a full time gig drawin' comics that'd be sweet.

What was your favorite as a kid: comics, cartoons, or movies? Was there a specific title you liked most of all?
Cartoons over comics. Oh I collected comics and read them and collected them and put them in little clear baggies in long narrow boxes and stored them dark dry places..... But I loved Saturday morning cartoons and Transformers and G.I. Joe right before the bus picked me up to take me to school. I still watch cartoons to this day. I am a kid at heart and always will be.

With 2 kids and a full time job, online entertainment is minimal. When I am online its more for a pragmatic purpose than entertainment. My favorite sites for what I need to do are: Google. Facebook. Yahoo. Teefury and many other shirt sites. I'm not on Twitter because I don't think what I have to say is all that important to have a following nor do I want to follow anybody else's mind numbing quips. At work while doing my job, I normally draw.  Pencil and paper.   

To my fellow office workers and the hope of things getting better. While you take that call or punch in that data or respond to that email, remember what you always wanted to do and go after it.
