You've Got Red on You
About the artist
A word from TeeFury:
Shawn of the Dead gets epic with classic tattoo style!
Tell us about this design.
As you may have noticed, I've got a thing for combining pop-culture references and old-school tattoo flash. This design pays tribute to one of the greatest movies ever. Not greatest zombie movie, or greatest comedy, or even greatest romantic comedy, just a great movie, PERIOD. Well written, acted, and directed, this film rules. That is all.
Where are you from?
New Jersey, the Sunshine state...
How would you describe your style?
Bold, ripe, smooth and creamy. A real mouthful of illustrator-ness. Its tiers of ripe pear, fig, honey flavors are framed by smoky, toasty oak. An altogether complex and beautifully crafted art style with a rich butterscotch aftertaste that still has all those delicious flavors chiming in...
If you could collaborate with anyone, who would you pick?
That would be a toss up between Jean-Michele Basquiat and Tom Waits.
What historical figure do you most admire?
See last question...
If you weren't designing shirts, what would you be doing?
Drawing weird stuff right on people's naked torsos... Or working as an illustrator for a publisher of medical magazines.
Would you rather get an embarrassing tattoo or have your face tattooed on someone else?
I'd rather have my face tattooed on someone else. Let them get stuck with an embarrassing tattoo...
Zombies vs. brains: which would win the battle?
Lemmy Kilmister
What is your favorite t-shirt color?
Nude...
What has been your favorite vacation or travel experience?
Being an East-coaster, I was a little hesitant, but excited when a friend (Scary Joe) offered to use airline miles to bring me to the city of his birth, Milwaukee, Wisconsin for a four-day weekend of drunken debauchery. Upon arriving in the land of beer and bratwurst, I was immediately greeted by some of the friendliest and most genuine people I had ever met. I never been made to feel so comfortable in another city in my entire life. Towards the end of the weekend, we walked down the street to yet another pub, and as we walked through the door, we were welcomed by one of the greatest sights ever: a bar-room full of circus clowns! We quickly began buying rounds of drinks and making friends with our grease-paint covered comrades, resulting in one of my favorite photos ever. I have since returned to Milwaukee several times, including once for my own bachelor party, and I continue to be impressed by the friendliness and easy-going nature of the city's residents. I love you Milwaukee, jewel of the Mid-west. You will remain forever in my heart!
Oh, and one more thing; I CLOSED WOLSKI'S!!! (You Milwaukeans know what I'm talking about...)
Any shout outs?
Montygog and Strongstuff; Jeffro Kilpatrick and the PCS; Zombie and Family; Scary Joe Scarypants; The Caputo family; Crazy Joe and Dave from Megapodzilla; Wolski's Tavern; Krantz, Dustin, Bob and Rob from Gashouse Radio, and most of all, my Family; Rachel, Finn, Meatball and Porkchop! Oh, and Lemmy Kilmister, the greatest inspiration of them all!

But... This kinda seems like a recycled design. I have the Han Shot First, so... It'd seem like I have 2 of the same shirt.

IMO, the red shirt takes away from the red on the paddle and shovel
