About the artistArt curated by
Tell us a bit about this design.
It's a "familiar looking RPG character", i guess you could say. I wanted something graphic and bold but with some crazy little detailing, it was great fun to render. There is some style influence from Paul Komoda in there a little. He's a superb artist and designed a tattoo i just had done...so i have Komoda on the brain, a bit. Or the skin?
If you could take on any kind of adventure, what would you decide to do?
A tour of Japanese temples or i think a caribbean cruise on a pirate ship! YAR!
You have a pitch meeting with a huge TV producer. What kind of show would you want to create?
A kids show with kind monsters that live under the bed (but Monsters Inc sort of covered that). That or an animated adventure show for girls that are total tomboys.
You're an awesome illustrator. Is there anything you hate to draw, or have a really tough time drawing?
Thanks! Don't ever ask me to draw a car. I will cry.
If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would you pick and why?
Man, this is hard. I'd feel so invasive! I guess maybe i'd want to be a trainer at Sea World for a day and hang out with the walruses and beluga whales.
Of all the monsters you've drawn, which do you most wish was real?
My big foo dog creatures! How cool would that be getting to ride around on one?
Are there any cool upcoming MissMonster projects that we should keep an eye out for?
Always! I'm working on a book of Goetic demon portraits as well as planning more taxidermy rug sculpts as well as the usual merch that you can find in my shop:http://missmonster.bigcartel.com/
Any shout outs?
Not really but i do want to thank teefury for printing me again and a huge thanks to all the supporters that buy my work!
