Tell us a bit about this design.
Imagine the great scientific minds of the past got bored of their scientific pursuits and wanted to form a band, hit the road and score some chicks. That’s the design! Darwin on bass. Freud on drums. Edison on electric guitar and Ivan Pavlov on cowbell. and of course Albert Funkenstein on vocals!!!
Where are you from?
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
I have a web-comic called bloodhound which I had been working on for the last 5 years. Time was limited to put the work needed to get it off the ground but I have not given up on it. So recently I have been trying to break into the t-shirt design market. Hoping to get something going with it. I hope you like my designs and would love your feedback and open to commissions. I am married and have two lovely kids both have super powers. My daughter shoots lasers from her eyes and my 8 month old son can lift a car… a small car but that’s pretty sweet none the less.
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
About that one time I woke up in a trashed motel room, scattered with empty Ready-whip cans, morning after taste of licorice in my mouth and a midget in full gimp gear feeding peanut butter to a Shetland pony in the bathroom.
Where the peanut butter came from, I have no idea.
Name a few of your favorite things.
Playing and "snuggle-time" with my wife and kids and I am a geek, especially when it comes to movies, TV, and comics. I dig creating new things. I have ideas always circling. I absolutely love stalking Betty White on Facebook. How many alt accounts do I need to create before she "friends" me?
What kind of art did you make as a kid?
Comic book art and pretty nifty gold spray-painted macaroni reproductions of your mom.
What is your favorite thing about science?
Watching the development, the adapting, the learning to communicate what has been found, the moving from crawling to walking, The ever-changing shapening of a paradigm. They give the best hugs and love unconditionally. Um... I'm such a huge cotton headed ninny-muggins. I thought you asked about my kids! Science is cool too! We wouldn't have ice cream without it! And my wife and kids love ice cream!
Star Trek vs. Star Wars: which would win the battle?
I'm more of a horror fan than sci-fi. But to answer I ask another question: "What is made better with flesh-eating, skull nutshell-cracking, brain consuming zombies, Star Trek or Star Wars?" I'm goin' with Star Wars. There was an episode on Clone Wars that had some zombies which was pretty sweet. It wasn't as hard core as I would have envisioned but the idea of a Luke with a light saber slicing up some zombies and Han Solo with a blaster in one hand and a chainsaw for his other appeals to me. Call me weird. While I think of it that sounds like a sweet idea for design! Luke would be better since he's already loss the hand, but Solo seems more like the Ash archetype.
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
I go through t-shirts quickly because when I get one that becomes my favorite, I wear the heck out of it. The one that's currently heading soon to the "Shammy Shack" is my Target-bought "Callahan's Auto Parts" green t-shirt. Love me some Tommy Boy!
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
Movies. Picking a favorite is as hard as getting a diaper on my son after a tubby. Yup... I just typed "tubby". Normal words are soon replaced into daily dialect by cutesy baby talk when you have kids. I'll narrow it down to my favorites from this last year: Inception and Scott Pilgrim.
What inspires your work?
Life, laughter and a weird process of always looking at everything at every angle, analyzing, dissecting, and mashing. Double entendre's are my friend. I love making my family laugh and hope I can do that with others through my designs.
Any shout outs?
BETTY! Come on girl! Playing hard to get went out with your last birthday candle!
