What is it about getting birds of prey to deliver your post? Apparently the US Mail have been doin it for years too? I've always liked the old US Mail logo, I'm a graphic designer, and the simplicity of it appeals to me. I just figured a Harry Potter version might look a little similar...

Glasgow, Scotland. The wet climate gives me a good excuse to stay in and draw.

As I mentioned i'm a graphic designer for a big company in Glasgow that i’m saying very little about, incase I accidently get myself fired through some series of unfortunate events. I consider myself to be a geek, but then i’m not really sure quite how geeky i am? I’m more of a current geek i guess. I would quickly find myself out of depth discussing G1 Transformers or the ins and outs of the Marvel Secret Wars. And sometimes i feel abit overwhelmed in Forbidden Planet… Oh, and I hope to be around here alot more : )

These kinda interviews kinda stress me out a little : and I use way too many emoticons...

Usual I guess, Gaming, Movies, Music, Comics. An example of each? Batman Arkham Asylum was pretty incredible. I thought District 9 was amazing. DJ Yoda makes music that could be specifcally engineered to appeal to just me. And comics? Scott Pilgrim has to be the best I've read in the last few years. Oh, and I'm a birdwatcher... the Scottish weather isn't that great for that either.

I've always had an interest in wildlife, so lots of A4 pages of birds, fish and animals. Sometimes fighting. And a mad 'comic' i've still got. It's like a cross between Popeye & the Hulk. Starring a prawn. That fights Piranhas and Electric Eels. In a submarine... maybe one day i'll scan and stick it up on Flickr...

To be honest i've only read the first book. I'm up to date with all the films tho. I kinda like how Harry isn't really that scared of Voldemort. Froddo was terrified of Sauron, Luke was, for the most part, always running away from Vader... Potter seems to be itching for a fight with Voldemort. And I really like seeing it in IMAX : )

I'm not sure - Getting good at science seems like it'd take a lot of time & effort, whereas magic seems like a kind of instant power. But i'm fairly sure a Lightsaber could splinter a wand to nothing before you could utter 'Stupefy' or something...

A fairly plain & simple black tee with a white, inverted StormTrooper helmet on it. I got it in Tokyo a few years back - it's extremely well worn now, and has a slight pink tinge due to a washing mix-up. But I really like the distressed (though I prefer 'Battle-damaged') look it's gained : )

Games are just as good as movies nowadays I reckon, but with the advantage of being a lot more involving. Saying that, you don't get 'stuck' in a movie and frustrated that the lead character keeps getting killed by a difficult jump/evil boss or unbeatable opponent. Reading's good, imagination building and all that, but sometimes it's nice to just let the soundtrack and visuals flash by you. In surround sound. And 3D. At the IMAX. In HD. I dunno, it's a bit of a paper/scissors/stone kinda thing. Favourite title though? Let's say Scott Pilgrim - books were awesome, game an excellent retro sidescroller, and film was pretty cool.

I like doing this kind of mash-up art. Turn 2 different things into something new. Weather it's famous logos or characters, I get a kick out of seeing similarities in completely random elements and fusing them together and showing them to people. Wait - that wasn't really what you asked was it? Okay - I guess it's games & corporate logos, Movies and everyday signage, comics & the mundane…
