A few months back I became a little obsessed with doodling Wario, between coloring comic book pages. One day I was watching Gangs of New York and this design was born.
Where are you from?
Parts Unknown, other famous residents include The Ultimate Warrior and our mayor: Abdullah the Butcher.
How would you describe your style?
Underground Comix meets early '90s LA graffiti.
If you could collaborate with anyone, who would you pick?
I would have loved to collaborate with Vaughn Bode or Rick Griffin, sadly their both gone. If I could pick a living person, maybe Sergio Aragones, that guy is a true master of cartooning.
What historical figure do you most admire?
I'm not sure who they were, but the person who figured out that you can dry corn with lime, grind it over a stone and make tortillas from that.
If you weren't designing shirts, what would you be doing?
I'd be cooking, maybe trying to figure out how to run a taco truck. St Louis really needs a taco truck, seriously.
Would you rather fight zombies or draw them?
Who wouldn't want to fight zombies? I have a whole Zombie Apocalypse plan laid out, it would be great to put it into action.
Diving vs. skydiving: which would win the battle?
I don't do heights. I couldn't even do the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse at Disneyland. Shameful.
What is your favorite t-shirt color?
I like designing on neutral colored shirts, but I like buying Green or Brown.
What has been your favorite vacation or travel experience?
My wife and I recently made it to Notre Dame to watch a football game (after years of wishing we could go). That was a pretty great experience, even though our gps thought the best way to get to South Bend was through the "hood" in Chicago.
