Tell us about this design.
This is a battle between two of my favorite breakfast cereal mascots Cap'n Crunch and Count Chocula. Cheering them on in the background are many other famous mascots as well. Can you spot them all?
Where are you from?
Los Angeles, CA
How did you get started designing t-shirts?
I've always loved to draw and had an interest in art ever since I can remember.
I would have to credit threadless (www.threadless.com) as officially sparking my t-shirt design interest back in 2006.
What advice would you offer to aspiring designers?
I would say to keep on drawing as much as you can and observe everything around you. A good concept/idea is just as or probably much more important than good execution.
It's great to be inspired and emulate your favorite artists but also try to find your own artistic individuality and flair.
What would be your dream job?
I can't decide. Maybe a Food Critic, Automotive Designer, NFL/NBA/MLB Sports Cameraman or a Marine Biologist.
What are your feelings about breakfast?
I love it, if I can wake up in time for it.
What would your ideal house be like?
I would love to have a fully automated self cleaning home or at least have a "Jetsons" Rosie the robot maid.
Modern vs. traditional: which would win the battle?
I'd have to say Modern. It is futile to resist technological advances.
What was your favorite as a kid: comics, cartoons, or movies? Was there a specific title you liked most of all?
Probably cartoons. I liked anything from Disney, Warner Bros and Nickelodeon but really I'd watch pretty much any type of cartoon.
